Looking for a church to join. A church that offers programs for teens as well as for myself.
Hi D.,
I am looking for a new church in the Winter Park/Orlando area as well. We have 3 teens (2 in high school and 1 in middle school). My husband and I have differences in the kind of service we like and that makes it tuff. Did you find anything that worked for you? We've been married for almost 3 years (blended family) and haven't made a commitment to a church yet. We are now making a priority as we should have a long time ago. Anyway, sorry for going on and on. Would love to hear about what you found.
Thanks!
M.
If you haven't found what you're looking for yet, we go to the United Methodist church downtown. It takes us about 15 minutes to get there, but it's worth it. They have amazing programs for the kids (including choirs that start as young as 4), a huge very active youth group for both the middle school and high school kids, a young adult group (if you're a young family in your 20's & 30's) and all kinds of other stuff. This was the first church we found with something to keep everyone busy.

All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park. Great programs for children/teens as well.
Faith Assembly on Goldenrod just north of Colonial is amazing with large Youth Group.
St. Margaret Mary is a woderful, welcoming church in Winter Park on Park Ave. They have a very active youth group. We also have moms groups for single and married moms, daytime and night time, as well as many other ministries to be involved with. I was not Catholic when I started attending, so it is fine if you are not! Give it a try! Saturdays at 5 PM, Sundays at 8AM, 9:30 AM, noon, or 6PM. Most of the youth go at 6PM on Sundays, then go out afterwards. Best wishes! Let me know if you need anymore info.

My husband and I "church-shopped" for years. You didn't specify a denomination, so I may be way off, but my husband and I had a difficult time finding something we both felt comfortable with. We have been attending Summit Church for about four months now and we love it. They do offer a teen program, although we are not familiar with it. They do have the BEST children's church program I have ever seen. Finding this church has been such a blessing for us and was recommended to me by a friend, so I thought I would just pass it on to you. The church is located in an old movie theater across from Toys-R-Us near the Fashion Square Mall. Don't let that scare you off, it truly is a blessed place.
