One year I took my husband to the shooting range and we both shot. Then out to eat. He loved it. We had fun!
Happy Anniversary!!
Hi moms!
June 10th my husband and I will be married for 3 years. I'm looking for some ideas on what I should do for him. A little about him, he works in the oilfield on a drilling rig. He likes to hunt, fish and go muddin. He also likes to relax and take it easy. Im just looking for something new and different that I could do for him that he would really like so any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Happy Anniversary!!
I've been to several bed and breakfasts over the years and they are always wonderful. One of my all time favorites was Cedars on the Brazos B&B in Glen Rose, about an hour or so from Arlington. We stayed there and enjoyed a nice romantic dinner out. We always enjoy shopping for antiques and collectibles and there were lots of cute shops there for that. Enjoy and Happy Anniversary!
Have you been to the Stockyards Hotel in Fort Worth?
We have a cattle drive twice a day on Exchange Street 11:30am and 4pm daily.
Stockyards Hotel or the Hyatt Place are two great hotels and then you could go to Lonesome Dove for dinner, and even rent the movie Lonesome Dove and watch that before you leave for his birthday bash. Another good resturant is H3 Ranch
Also, a great property is Rough Creek Lodge its about 1 hour from Fort Worth, out in the country they also coordinate hunts with guides as well. Of coarse it to hot now for a hunt...
Just a thougth or two.
Since he does like to Relax and take it easy, you could also do a Spa Day for Two. Mini-Facial's, Mani's and Pedi's and then a nice hour long massage. Men really do enjoy being pampered as much as we do. Bring a full change of clothing for you both. So that after you can head out for a nice romantic dinner. Go down to Metro Grill on 75 in Dallas. I think its like exit 2. They have a large Dinningroom and great menu. The other half of the building is a full sports bar with big screen TV's, Music, Pool Tables and GREAT Bartenders.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
Hello,
How about a guided fishing tour/trip. I know Grapevine Lake and Lake Texoma both have guided fishing trips. If you go to Grapevine you can sneak a stay at the Gaylord Hotel for the night or weekend. Happy Anniversary!!
Why not book a fishing guide and the two of you go fishing. Don't know where you live, but if you need help finding one let me know, I might be able to help.
Leather is the gift for the 3rd anniversary. My husband loves to golf, so I bought him golf shoes and a glove. You could get your husband something that pertains to his hoppies so that everytime he's using it he will think of you.
What about a Texas Ranger game? Get matching Texas Ranger tee shirts and then have your pictures made together...
my name is B. Crawford and I've always wanted to do a scavenger hunt maybe included some of your friends and leave something for him to pick up leading to a romantic night, for example leave a note telling him where to go and when he gets there have him pick up something and then eventually lead him to a nice resturant, then leave a note with the waitress and go rent a room and have a good time!!!!
G., something fun that I do for my husband on special occassions is I create home made coupons for him. Example:
Redeem this coupon for one free back massage
Redeem this coupon for one free night out with the boys
Redeem this coupon for one free car wash...
and ofcourse you can get a little more creative and intimate if that is something you think he'd like....candle light dinner, full body massage, etc....my husband loves his coupons! Have fun!
What about renting a cabin on a lake? When I was younger we use to go to Lake Bob Sandlin and rent cabins. We would have fish fry's at night and cook breakfast on our portable gas stove's in the morning. They had boats you could rent to take a late night ride etc. I am sure you could find something like this closer. I know Austin has some as well.
My husband and I are celebrating our third anniversary this month also. Every year we take turns surprising each other with a trip by ourselves. This was my year and we will be zip lining in Puerto Rico (still the US and pretty cheap, no passport needed)! It will be 4 days of no kids and lots of fun. We are not adventure sort of people but our trips are always something new and exciting out of our comfort zone. It puts that "spark" in things the whole year through...
Happy Anniversary
I took my husband to the country and he had ultralight lessons. First the instructor took him up and they flew around for a while and then the next time my husband flew it and landed. He loved it!! We video taped the whole thing from the ground. Maybe your husband would like something like that?
