M. - it is totally normal. I had two episiotomies and tore with my third. When I spoke with my doctor about it, he assured me that it happens all of the time and suggested ways to help with the pain. It eventually goes away. Good luck!
This is kind of a personal question and a little bit awkward. I could wait until I go back to the dr in a few days but I am a worrier and I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing. When I gave birth to my son I tore quite a bit. Everything healed fine but now that I am pregnant again it has become tender and sore. Has anyone else had this issue?

I am not a medical professional but it may be hemroids, I got them with my last pregnancy. I think if I remember right you can try Tuck's, also a nice hot "sitz" bath( I think that is epsom salt in hot water).
It is probably the scar tissue, I had very bad scaring with my daughter and it still hurts sometimes, like during sex. There isn't really anything that will take the hurt away though because it is scar tissue.
Yes, i tore up croocked onto my bottom cheek. It was sore and I was told that it may be sore as it is up on the other tissue beyond the typical paraneum (spelling?)
Yes, it is normal. I tore quite a bit with my first one too. Sometimes it takes a while for it to heal all the way. There is a lot of extra pressure especially when you are pregnant. Sometimes it would hurt and be tender and sore even when I wasn't pregnant. I'm sorry. Maybe your doctor will have some ideas on how to help...
I am glad I am not the only one. I didn't tear with my first but they cut me down there really good. When I got further along in my 2nd pregnancy I started to hurt. I never talked to my doctor, but I probably should have. It is probably pressure on the scar tissue. My pain went away after I had my second baby, but I would talk to your doc. and see if there is anything he could do to make you more comfortable in the mean time. Congrats on the baby!
