Just Moved to Warner Robins

We just moved to Warner Robins in August, and I would like to meet some other moms in the area for playgroups, or just socializing! I'm an Air Force wife, and my husband has been gone for training for the past few months. We had only been here 2 weeks before he left, and I haven't really gotten the chance to get out and meet anyone yet. Yes I sound desperate, but when you're only conversations are with your 19 month old and 4 year old boys, or random phone calls from your husband, you get desperate! I just would like to meet some new people already!

What can I do next?

Hi Kim,

My name is B. & I'm the President of the MOMS Club of Warner Robins. We're a support group for stay at home moms & we plan events throughout the month for playdates, mommy get togethers & more. If you're interested, we'd love to have you in the club! We're having an open meeting at Trinity United Methodist Church on November 5th where we'll have a storytime for the kids & a speaker talking about how to raise readers & get kids interested in reading. I'm an air force wife, too & my husband is deployed a lot, so I know what it's like to only speak to a toddler for days at a time :) That's why I joined the MOMS Club & I've made tons of friends through the club. Our website is www.momsclubga.co.nr

Have a great day!

B. W.

Hello Kim - I have lived in WR for a total of six years (split by three years overseas) and I have a bunch of contacts and possibilties for social interaction. There is a squadron group that holds all kinds of activities, church activities, library reads, Bunco, Bookclub, bible studies, MOPS, Greendrinks(recycling and conservation), parks, etc. I can more easily access my e-mail address book if you just send an e-mail to me and I can paste all of them in one e-mail. My email is ____@____.com and my phone is ###-###-####. I am a mother of a two year old daughter and we have found many things to do and things I like to do a couple of times a month on my own. Give me a call or drop a line and I can get you in touch. Also, try the family Support Center on base. It's agreat place to raise kids and there really are things to do!
