JFF - What Are You Doing Today?

Preparing to travel! My 13 year old son flies out to my mom's for a week because my husband, 17 year old son and I fly out on Monday to visit a college that interests my son. So, it's a big day of picking up sundries, packing and just enjoying each other as a family!

Hubby and I took my car to the country club and had lunch while the auto detail guy deatiled my car and waxed it.

Now I am preparing to head to Marco Island FL on Tuesday and wrapping up all the last minute items, getting house ready for house/pet sitter. This is catching up on all laundry, cleaning out the fridge, etc.

we are having a "stay home and get stuff done" day. with intermittant sitting in the air conditioning. its just too hot out to go anywhere, im wiped.... lots of laundry, as always. i think i fully spend a quarter of my waking hours doing laundry.....anyway, getting stuff done, everyone is getting along, so far so good :::::knock knock:::::::

Our goal today is to find a hat, for our daughters senior year in college!

It is supposed to represent her personality, or her interest or her humor.

They wear these hats to different events throughout the senior year including the first day they wear their Graduation Robes! We just got back from one place now having lunch and will continue our quest till we find, just the right one.. We have been having a blast..

We went and did grocery shopping in the AM before it got stinking hot out.
My daughter is ahving a friend sleep over and already there have been tears because Alex ( 4) does not understand that he is not "just one of the girls"
We will probably head outside and play in the kiddy pool to pass some time and of course hours later after they have played there will be a spaghetti dinner and then later ice cream and a movie = ) So busy day for the littles, and for me maybe sneak some reading in between normal housework.

I got up and sewed for a while. Made 2 aprons for a store I put things in. Husband and I then returned a couple tables I borrowed for a garage sale a few weeks ago, mailed bills, took the aprons to the store, stopped to look at beds at a store, stopped at a deli for lunch and came home. Now he is on the couch working on an estimate, and Im thinking abou sewing the other aprons I cut out. Waiting for grand daughter to show up. Its mommys class reunion tonight so shes coming to play at our house for a bit.Think we will take her to dinner,, but who knows for sure. Staying inside where its not too warm. Its 98 here today.

Not so fun day for us haha I'm doing laundry too! The hubbs is getting one of our cars ready be put up for sale. BUT, I am going to be making some time for my family to go swimming... Finally have sunshine and heat worth swimming in up here LOL

I did some dishes first thing this morning, then went to the bank and the store, helped put away groceries, have been trying to save our messed up lawn...long story but we are now re-seeding the entire thing in the hottest weather.. I have 3 daycare children today and they've been fed and played and just put down for a nap.

I'm getting my mamapedia fix and then I'm going to read.

Laundry, school work, and corraling the kiddos...why oh why did I sign up to do online classes this quarter?

Lucky me but this is the third Saturday in a row I am going to see Miss Saigon in Phila. Love, love love this show! I have gone with different people each time though. Also, going to dinner tonight and a pool party tomorrow. The laundry will have to wait:0)

While the rest of the world has been burning up. It has been COLD in Seattle. but not today...a perfect day. So, goodwill shopping this morning in an empty store (score!) , then the playground. Now nap time is ending I'm making a picnic and we are all going to the beach!

He went to work, we went to the zoo for free thanks to my sister giving us her passes and wristbands.

Now the four year old is crashed on the couch and I'm doing laundry without interruptions!

After that I'll be reading the end of the Sammy Hagar book.

I dropped my kiddos and grandma off at airport for a week of grandma fun, now I am enjoying coffee, the paper waiting for may massage/facial apt, then going to Dallas to watch "page one" so not my typical life;)

I got all the chores done on Thursday, just in time for my hubbies weekend. He hasn't had a weekend off in 6 months. Normally his days off are in the middle of the week. So today while my mom is in town visiting we took our son to are Captain America. It was nice to have alone time with him.
When we got home we had a BBQ. It turned out to be a awesome day!

We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was a blast!

Swim meet from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm.. For my 8 and 5 year old.. And it is sunny in Seattle today mid 70s!!
