When shopping for a digital, the more pixels, the higher the resolution. I have one that is 3.5 and one 7.0. 7.0 wins!

I know all you moms out there like to take pictures of your little ones. I am looking for a digital camera that does not take its time to flash once you hit the take picture button and takes good pictures. My camera takes a lot of dark, blurry pictures and cannot zoom in as well as would like without losing clarity. Any suggestions on what you might have that you love.

I have a Canon Powershot A570 IS. I love it. It has an image stablizer and takes great pic's of the kids when they are playing. One thing is that the camera is only as good as the memory card. If you have a cheap memory card, your camera will be slow no matter how great the camera is. The delay is the memory card processing everything. Also you want to pick a camera that has a high optical zoom, not digital. The higher the optical, the clearer the pic's.
Well it kind of depends on what you spend. I have a digital Rebel XTi and I LOVE it. It works a lot like a regular 35mm with hardly any lapse in the time you snap until the picture is taken. You can also switch to manual mode if you want to focuse yourself.
I have a Canon Rebel xTi, and I love it...they're very expensive, but the regular point and shoot cameras all take their time recycling the flash.
the thing thats going to help the most is to get one with higher mega pixels like 10 or 12!!
We just recently bought a new camera and we love it. I think I spent weeks researching cameras. It's hard to find a good camera that does not cost a fortune. We bought a Sony Cybershot DSC-W170. It has 10.1 megapixels and a Carl Zeiss lens. It also has super steady shot(I really like this feature, I have 3 boys and they are never still). The camera was around $300. I hope this helps!!
Hi!! My husband and I bought a new camera about a year ago...and we bought a Canon Elph Sd750. My husband is BIG into electronics and spent hours upon hours researching online before we decided on this one. This one is still a little pricey, but it works great. Canon right now is ahead of everyone in camera technology, so I would at least suggest that you stay within the canon family. (We even got a canon camcorder!)
Good Luck!

The best camera you can get and is easy to use. (I can use it and take great pictures to boot) is the Cannon Rebel XT. It does cost a little bit more than some but in the long run it is soooooooooo worth it.
Thanks,

I recently bought a Panasonic Lumix TZ3 and could not be more thrilled with it. I looked a long time for one that had a high zoom with short shutter lag so you weren't waiting on the camera and missing the great shots or sacrificing image quality. I read a lot of consumer reports on many different cameras, narrowed them down and then went to the camera store and spent a couple of hours playing with them and getting my questions answered. I was wavering between a point and shoot digital, which is what the TZ3 is, or a digital SLR. I ended up getting teh Panasonic b/c it had the same qualities and features of the Canon Rebel or Sony I was also considering but without the bulk and you didn't have to carry around the extra lenses for the added zoom capabilities. Plus it fits in my purse!
I think the camera lists for around $350, the best deal I could find in town was at Costco, but I found it even cheaper if you purchased it online from Circuit City - I think I got it for around $280. The great thing is you can do an in-store pickup at Circuit City so I literally used their computer to place the online order and 20 mins later walked over to the customer service desk to pick it up. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a simple point & shoot digital. It also has a magnitude of features on it for the more experienced photographer. I am amazed what high quality photos this camera takes. I don't think you will be disappointed - I wasn't.
I love, love, LOVE my Canon Rebel XT! It's an awesome camera :) It's a little on the expensive side though.
I also have a Sony H2 but you have to hold the button halfway down for it to focus and get ready to flash. I carry this one with me all the time and use the Rebel for special occasions (or when I want to lug it around lol)

I have a Kodak Easy Share it's the Z730 model. Which I don't think they make anymore. It was 5.0 mega pixel with a 4x doom. It took great pictures. Until my little girl got ahold of it last year and threw it down a slide. Guess what it still took pictures it's just the zoom no longer worked and it would cut off if you even tried. But before that it was great. I'm going to get another Kodak
It doesnt really matter. they make them all to break in a years time, so you will have to go buy a new one.. soo dont waste your money on something you think is going to last years. Any of them will do.
I have a Kodak easy share V803 its small and fast. I had a bigger kodak camera, a professional looking one thinking that one would be great but it was way to slow. The small one I have now is great. It is so easy to upload and share your pics also.
I just got a Canon Elph digital camera, and it's great. I find it often takes very clear photos without a flash, and the flash is pretty quick. The zoom is awesome. The automatic settings work well (I've experimented with them all). You can get it at Best Buy for $199.
Hi A. :)
I take a TON of pictures what with my two kids and my rag doll making business. I highly recommend the Kodak EasyShare (whichever version is fine) It's easy to use and takes really nice pictures. :)
