Dear Moms,
I have a son who is allergic to milk and several other food items. I feel that he doesn't get the right nutrition due to the food allergies he has and his food limitations. I am looking for a vitamin that I can feel good about giving him. He is only 4 yrs old so it would need to be kid friendly. Thanks so much in advance for your input.

Shaklee makes some of the best vitamins in the world. They not only test the potency of the raw products (and are VERY strict about where they come from) but they also test the PROCESSED products - unheard of in the industry. They also KEEP testing them throughout their shelf life!!!
I've got my kids on the Flinstones vitamins. My daughters are 3 1/2 and 15 months, so we do the "First Flinstones", but the regular one is designed for kids age 4 & up. My 3 1/2 year old has been on these since she was 18 months (the ped at the time just told me to cut them in half for her since she wasn't technically old enough for them yet) and she loves them. 15 month old loves them, too (we cut them in half for her now).
ETA: Just checked for other ingredients because I didn't think about it until after I posted, but it doesn't say anything about using milk in them, either. Says it contains "tree nuts (coconut), and soy."
I also do the Flintstone First", but when they were babies, (and he still take this) I gave them the "Enfamil Drops". Just put one dropper full in their juice.
I've shopped around a bit and now use

I get these from the local health food store. Good luck finding what meets your child's needs.
My sons took pre vites from puritans pride. They are really good you order them online and you can almost always catch some kind of a sale.
Here's a great multivitamin comparison guide:

Years ago Consumer Reports conducted a vitamin report and discovered that the companies that advertise the most, like Centrum, put way more money into their advertising budget then they do in top quality vitamins. So stear away from large, brand vitamins and stick with natural supplements available at health food stores.
My son has been on these since he was able to chew it. SO good for him.
