Everyone is different. Try alittle of the whole eggs scrambled, if the next day there is no rash, let the child have some eggs. They are full of protein and both of mine loved them from about 7 months on.
My daughter is 10 months old and even though she doesn't have any teeth yet she is veyr good at mushing things with her gums. I thought I read somewhere that she could have egg yolks or was it egg whites, I'm not sure which it was. My question is: is it safe for her to eat eggs?

H.,
Back in the old days when my mother was raising children she used to put a egg yolk in with warm cereal like grits. Her babies loved it and so did her grandchildren. Egg yolk is very good for your baby and she is old enough now where she can have egg yolk. I would not give her the egg white just yet. Wait until a couple of months and then she can eat regular foods. Try it and see if she likes it. Take care and good luck.
If I can recall correctly, I think that eggs aren't to be introduced until after the first year. I would check with your pediatrician on that one. Hope that helps.
Not 100% positive but I dont think they can have egg whites yet.
Hi H., I read that babies under one year should have egg yolks only.
Yes after 8mo you can introduce egg yolks. You should avoid egg whites until 12mo because they are highly allergenic.

Yup, let her have some egg yolk. You can divide an egg, scramble the yolk for her and the white for yourself. :)
yup, everyone is right with the yolks. i find hard boiling the egg and then just pulling out the yolk is easier than trying to separate and scramble the yolk...you're bound to still get some white in there. my son LOVES egg yolks. such an easy breakfast, so good for them and cheap!
I think you could giver her a scrambled egg, but maybe check w/ your doctor for allergies first. I know there are ways to test.
According to my ped. they can have egg yolks.
I was thinking it wasn't until after they were a year and you started with the whites but it's been 3 years since I had to worry about that. Sorry.
