Door County Recommendations

My husband and I may have a chance to get away from the kids for 2 nights and were thinking about driving up to Door County. However, we know almost nothing about it. Since we haven't been away in years (and we've got a milestone anniversary coming up), we are looking to "do it up" in luxury and style. Can you recommend the most luxurious places to stay and the best restaurants for fine dining? A plus would be a place overlooking water (even though it's winter.)

Thanks so much for your help.

So What Happened?

.Door County sounds like a bust. I think we'll try someplace else.

We liked White Lace Inn B & B but that was many moons ago.

Enjoy!

I would suggest the White Gull Inn, very nice for a couples getaway. We have gone every summer for 5 years and even twice in one summer :-) I don't suggest staying in Sturgeon Bay as it is far from the heart of door dounty. check out www.doorcounty.com for some lodging and resturant ideas. Some great places to eat are on the website too. you can't go wrong for an initmate weekend with plenty to do :-) happy anniversary!
