I have had my camera for a 2 years now. Actually it will be 2 years this Christmas. My pictures all of a sudden are blurry. I know what you are thinking - your lense is dirty. Nope not the problem. Do cameras just get old??? Any advice would be appreciated!!!!

What can I do next?

Also check that your battery is fully charged. My picutres look fuzzy when the battery is running low.

This happened to me. It turned out the Auto Focus setting got shifted somehow. Read your manual, and make sure that your camera that all your camera's settings are as they should be.

Did the macro setting get applied by accident? This can cause blurry photos.

Could you (or one of the kids?) have accidentally adjusted some of the settings?

Sometimes if dirt gets on the insdie it can affect the shutter speed. Happened to one of mine.

In one word yes!

It could also need a firmware update, an internal cleaning, maybe your LCD screen is actually bad and the cameras fine and the pics will turn out fine just not when you see them on the LCD screen, maybe it needs reset to factor settings because someone messed with it. Heck maybe the last firmware update did something to it and it needs restored, maybe batteries are bad.... I could go on for an hour. It's an electronic item with a computer. It's no different than your TV, Bluray player, Lap top etc.. It all gets issues at some point.

I can think of a ton of problems phones get. If it's a cheapy It isn't going to be worth fixing it. There are lots of good digi cams on the market for 100 and even less this time of the month. Now if were talking a SLR or something nice and you spent a thousand on it I'd take it to a professional. Electronics there is only so much us lay folk can do. We don't even have the schematic even . But a professional fixing it might be cheaper than buying a new if it's a nice up to date one. Otherwise sadly these new digi ones are pretty much toss in a few year cameras.

Look through the menu options and see if there's a way to reset to factory settings. Sounds like a setting got changed accidentally.
