Chorioamnionitis

Hi everyone,

My hubby and I have had some unfortunate events happen in the last two weeks. We were expecting twin boys, and my water broke suddenly with baby A and baby B followed suit the very next day. We ended up losing both boys at nineteen weeks. My doctors are suspecting chorioamnionitis, but we will not know until the placentas are processed. What I want to know is did any of you moms ever lose babies because of this infection? And if you did, did the infection ever repeat in a subsequent pregnancy? We are so afraid to try to conceive again because of this horrible situation. I have researched this and I know what it is, what causes it, etc., but any info any of you have will be helpful. Thank you.

What can I do next?

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my last pregnancy at 17 weeks. They had no explanation for me. It hurt so badly in the beginning. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and the pain will subside. It has been 6 months now and i feel great. I also just learned that you can ask the arch angel Gabriel to help you conceive and deliver a healthy baby. Apparently, all you have to do is ask :)

I'm sorry for your loss, and grieve with you. I know this may be a difficult time for you, but take heart. Though you may not understand the fullness of why this happened, Trust in the Lord that He has appointed this to occur. And Trust also that He has the ability to plant new life in your womb. Do not fear, but take heart. To fear of anything but the Creator, the giver of life, results in bondage. May He grant you peace and comfort you during your time of sufferings.

In love and in prayer,
M.

Dear K. I am SO sorry for your loss. My sister is carrying monochorianic diamniotic twin girls. Her first pregnancy. She is 20 1/2 weeks along and just diagnosed with stage 1 twin to twin transfusion syndrome.

Well, my only thinking is that if there was infection that caused it was it something that was created by your own body? I would treat for infection before trying to conceive but I am not a doctor, I just know what my fertility doctor would probably say to me. I really hope they get answers to you and your family, again I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you and your family!
