Mamas & Papas-

Got 3 large bananas on my counter going a bit soft. Anyone have a banana cookie recipe they'd like to suggest?

Thanks,
F. B.

What can I do next?

I'm answering so I'm on the thread (easier to find later). I've only ever made banana bread not banana cookies.

Hopefully someone on here has a good recipe

I suggest that you could use bananas instead of applesauce in an applesauce cookie recipe.

Hey F. B., you are quite a busy B. with your cooking!
This is a golden oldie, I haven't made it in a while. I usually do banana bread or banana chocolate chip muffins.

1c packed brown sugar
1 c mashed bananas
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon.
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup chopped nuts opt
Refridgerate 1 hour
Bake @ 375 for 8-10 mins
Frost with vanilla icing.
