Dr. Kim Coleman/Dr. Christa Schilling are awesome. They are out of Beaumont and their practice is on Woodward.
I changed pediatricians twice before finding them. Trust your instinct.

I was not liking my Pediatricians office that well and today was the final straw. My son, who is nine weeks, was due for his two month shots. I had an 11:15 appointment that lasted until 12:50pm. My poor son had to sit in his diaper for at least 30 minutes and wait for the doctor to come to see him. When the doctor arrived, he had a resident to assist him...needless to say, she couldn't properly look in my son's ears right and my mother-in-law had to help her tilt his head to have her look in. Also, my doctor answered his personal cell phone and was talking on it during my visit which I thought was rather odd. Needless to say, the doctor and the resident left the room and I was wondering about when we were supposed to give my son they Tylenol...before or after his shots? I had my MIL look out the door to see if she could spot him. She finally saw him and said, "G. has one more question for you..." in a very mousey voice. He responded, "I am seeing other patients she is going to have to wait!" and completely yelled at my MIL for no reason. I was in shock and couldn't believe his tone. My MIL is one of the friendliest women you will ever meet and the poor lady has stage IV brain cancer so she is conscience of her speech and more on the shy side than anything. I was so upset with his response that I came home and told my husband about my experience...yes, we are looking for a different Beaumont Pediatrician but at the same time there is no excuse for poor manors. I was thinking about writing a letter to Beaumont to complain about this doctor's bedside manor...do you think this is wise? Also, any good Beaumont doctors out there?

I also go to Royal Oak Pediatrics. They have 4 doctors to choose from, 2 male and 2 female. I love the female doctors because they know what it is like to be a working mom (no offense to the men, they are good).
I always strive for the first morning appoitment, you are usually in and out. I have had to wait, but they apologized and in their defense there was a horrible flu going around.
They have the littles ones in one waiting room and the older ones in another.
I started there because 2 friends grew up going there and now take their kids there.
Good luck and YES write a letter to Beumont and your doctor's office. That is unacceptable behavior, you are a paying client.
Royal Oak Pediatrics is great!
ALways follow your gut, I changed PED with my first born
and we are happy with that choice.
Think of it like this, they are working for you. You pay for a service.
If you are not happy, you may change doctors.
THey are other doctors that are good, even great with Beaumont.
Good luck...
Yes yes yes.. Write a letter to beaumont that is unacceptable behavior. Its a great practice and most of my friends kids go there too.
