I know that u might want to cook.. but you could make a great Picnic and go a botanical garden and have a romantic lunch or dinner.
You could do cheese and meats. And maybe those small wine bottles...(or even sparkling grape).
My 7th anniversary is coming up, and I want to do something really special for my husband. My plan is for a helicopter ride over the metroplex at sunset or after to see all the lights (hopefully they aren't already booked). But I want a really nice restaurant for us to eat at. The problem is that we are saving money, and I'm going all out with the ride, so we don't want a meal that's too expensive but still is nice and kind of upscale. We would fly out of Addison, so we would want a place fairly close. Any ideas or suggestions?

I second Maggianos. There is one at the Dallas North tollway and park by Willowbend mall. It is REALLY good food, nice atmosphere and it really isn't much more expensive than Chili's or any other chain restaurant. You could make a reservation for a cozy booth, had a bottle of wine. It is really nice.
I love the picnic idea! There are so many nice areas around Frisco. You could pack a good old-fashioned picnic and spend the time eating, reflecting on the 7 years together and enjoying the quiet time. If you know anyone with some land you could ask them for some time at their place.
I love Maggianos Little Italy. Its expensive but not too expensive and very fancy has a romantic setting to me. They have one at North Park mall and not sure about Frisco. It's not like a Chili's. They have the best cheesecake I have ever tasted..
Maybe Ferarri's off the the tollway in Addison?
