Am I going crazy? My two boys can play outside all day, and they come in at night with BO worse than my hubby. Should I buy them deodarent already? The smell is so bad it makes me want to puke sometimes. The smell lingers all over the house. I have to force them into the tub to get rid of it!! Is there anything I can do to combat this nasty odor before it gets any hotter outside?
thanks

What can I do next?

My mom went to a health conferance that talked about BO. I guess sweat on it's own doesn't smell, that's why a lot of people don't have BO. It's the bacteria that actually smells. I would suggest switching soaps to some sort of anti-bacterial if you don't already use that and then making sure they wash really well. Otherwise talk to their doc and see what they have to say.

Most of the time, "you are what you eat". I would suggest analyzing there diets. There are a lot of foods out there that will excrete some very strong odors. Feel free to ask any questions. I know some about this type of problem, having dealt with it in my personal hygene.

First of all. I know it isn't much. But I'd like to say thank you for serving our country.

I kind of know what your going through. Right now I'm trying to find out what age is appropriate (sp?) to start having my 7 yr. old son (special needs) use deoderant. In my opinion, I'd go ahead & give it a try. And see IF it helps any. Just a suggestion. I don't know IF there available. But see IF there's some travel size mens deoderant avail. And maybe grab a few. So you can figure out which one works w/o having to buy a bigger one. And end up wasting it, IF it doesn't work or something to that effect. OR IF you'd prefer buy a few bigger deoderants. I'd check w/ your husband 1st. But maybe have your son try your husbands deoderant. Anyhow, hope some or all of this helps. Let me know what you find out.

When you refer to body odor, do you mean under arm or just sweat odor. My brother was like that and my mom took him to the doctor to see what was the best course of action. And the doctor said it was just sweat odor. And as tend to be more active thus sweat out longer, and moisture collects in their hair, and clothes, thus sweat on sweat stale smell. Girls don't tend to keep going once they began perspiring whereas boys will.

The best thing to do is have them strip down and take a quick shower. They'll feel better anyway. it's the same way that those football pads wreak up your van on the way home.
