Hello, a great idea is to call Butterfly Dreams Theme Parties for all agea, they come to you and they are great.
Look at there website www.ButterflyDreamsParty.com to see all the different parties they have to offer for boys and girls or call them at ###-###-####. Kids love them, they are really professional.

When my daughter turned four we did a messy party in the yard, fingerpainting with chocolate pudding on paper and themselves, chalk drawing, kiddie pool, water balloons, corn starch goop, etc. It was a hit!

My son is almost 5 and all year long he has been talking about his 4th birthday, they really remember at this age. We had never taken him to a "big movie" so we went to Ybor with his grandmother and two uncles and left his little brother with a babysitter. We went to a kid-friendly movie, rode the trolley over to Hooters and had lunch and then rode the trolley back to Ybor and had icecream. It was really cheap and honestly, he LOVED it. He got a balloon at Hooters and a paper trolley on the trolley and we all made a really big deal about it being his day. You could even offer for him to bring a friend but I really enjoyed it just being family. The aquarium is also down there but we had passes so that wasn't anything new. It was extremely simple and here we are 9 months later and he still remembers it fondly and it wasn't overwhelming in any way.

There is also an old Train ride in Parrish (close to Bradenton) that isn't that expensive and they do theme rides which are different every month. (www.frrm.org)We did one that was a Hobo cook out and they also do a halloween one and a Christmas one. The kids (4 & 2) absolutely loved it and had a great time as did all of the adults. Not the typical birthday party (or cost) but something they will still love and remember for years to come. Good luck!

Home Depot may have birthday parties where they hold their Kid's workshops every few Saturdays. They make some thing so that is your take home gift. Give them a call to be sure. I haven't tried it yet. You could incorporate a Bob the Builder theme to go along with it. Happy Birthday!!

A Dinosaur party in the park. Either a shady play ground
or public water park and you just either do sandwiches and
cake/cookout. Or bowling is fun if you have the extra cash.
Renting a blow-up house or slide is always a big hit with the little ones.

Hi K.,
I don't know if you have ever been to a My Gym Birthday party before but they are always one of a kind. All of the activities are planned out for you and the staff handles all of the set up and clean up as well as structuring all of the activities to make an action packed party that your son will never forget. You also have the whole facility to yourself so only the children you invite will be there.
You don't lift a finger they handle it all!

My 5 year old daughter, Arabella, recently had her birthday at United Skates in Tampa. The highlight of her birthday was going into this wind tunnel-like machine where she got to collect play money and got to spend it on toys in their prize center. The dinosaur came out and gave everyone big hugs. She loved it.

We had my son's a La Fluers gymnastics and we all had a great time. I've also heard recently that some fire departments will host a birthday party. Good luck.

We do bowling parties, mini putt putt golf, skating, in the park, Lithia Springs (each guest has to pay a $1 to get in). I'm thinking about a garden party where the kids can plant, flowers or veggies. A circus party with popcorn and games is fun. We did the firehouse party and loved it! I had one as a kid. Bloomingdale fire department let us have one. Also the Red Barn in Valrico/Bloomingdale. Hope you find a great party!
