This one is really interesting... you use the traditional anniversary gift, but maybe this year you could go for the modern anniversary list and get him a watch? I just looked it up and that's 15 yrs on the "modern" list.
Just a thought!
OK. this is my second question of the day....Sorry!
Next week will be my husband and my 15th wedding anniversary. We have ALWAYS given each other an item from the traditional anniversary gift list. We get creative such as the first was paper and I gave him a gift certificate (no gift cards back then LOL) for a golf club. We are buying a new bed and I thought that was going to be our gift to each other and found out last night that he is still planning on doing the traditional thing too. Well, I have NO idea what to get him because this year is crystal. What on earth do you give a man that is made out of crystal? He is a real simple guy. He likes golf and other sports. He enjoys home improvement. Does not really drink other than an occasional beer. I thought about the modern gift of a watch but he has a few really good ones.
Any suggestions would be really helpful! Thanks!
Hi All!
Thank you very much for the ideas! I ended up finding him a very nice set of cuff links with Swarvski crystal inset. I think he will really like them. Again thanks so much!

You mentioned his love of sports and golf. Does he keep any trophies or collectables? You might visit a trophy shop or Things Remembered and have something thoughtful engraved in crystal or a crystal frame engraved with a photo of you guys in your early years (if a double frame one now, too.) or your children.
Crystal Picture frame with the two of you!
or, you could just save money and get him some "Crystal light" lemonade.
Good luck!

You can get a photo laser-etched in "crystal" from Wal-mart photo center.
yep, I'd say a cool watch with maybe a crystal insert.
this crystal golf ball lollipop is a fun twist:

you could get him a crystal agate or amethyst raw geode slice to use as a paperweight, bookends or a nice desk ornament. you can find them online or in museum gift shops:

How about a crystal beer mug? It sounds weird, but we got a big set of them for wedding gifts. They're nice and heavy.
Or Waterford makes really nice clocks, picture frames, paperweights, etc.
Hope this helps.
Maybe a crystal dish to drop his change into on his dresser.
OMG! I lost my original answer. Anyway, congrats on 15 years! I wish you many, many more! Some suggestions: letter opener with crystal handle, paper weight reflecting sport of choice, fountain pen with crystal base holder (engraved w/anniv info), chess, backgammon, checkers, etc set made of crystal, if it even exists- crystal cuff links. It will depend on the type of guy your husband is, and if he has a space for any of these things. There used to be a store in Mesquite I believe called Things Remembered or something to that extent. Maybe its still around. You might also try to google creative gifts made of crystal, etc. Hope this helps. Have a beautiful anniversary!!
Small crystal frame w/picture of the family for his office? Sports watch? Try looking in a golf specialty store.........they might have a golf gadget with some sort of "crystal" in it similar to a watch. Good luck. Nice tradition.
There a lot of things you could do to play off of the crystal tradition:
- Top gift: 3D Laser engraved crystal! You can get a golf ball, golfer,
really ANYTHING! (search for 'laser engraved crystal' to see some)
- Crystal picture frame around a poem or picture of the two of you.
- Crystal paperweight
Hope those give you a few ideas! Congrats! My husband and I
had our 15th in September. Here's to many more!
