4 Year Old with Terminal Cough!

Hi Moms! I have a wonderful 4 year old who is extremely healthy (never an ear infection, rarely a cold) however, he coughs all the time. It seems to come and go but lasts about a month or sometimes two! I have taken him to his Ped. before but didnt really get any useful advice other than "kids cough"! The cough seems deep and horse and sounds like congestion (not a dry cough). I dont want to give him cough medicine - especially in light of all the recent media warnings against them. Any other Moms out there with the same problem? ...

4 Year Old Son with Allergies/asthma

My 4 year old son was recently diagosed with allergies associated with asthma. He gets a persistant cough this time of year and in the fall. The cough sometimes causes him to vomit. He has had allergies since he was a baby, however, the asthma part of this is new to me. I feel uneasy about it because he seems to be on lots of medication now. We have a nebulizer and he inhales albuterol twice daily. He also has nasonex, zyrtec and singulair. Zyrtec was the most effective, but now doesn't seem to work as well--this is when he was given...

Advice Needed on Stuffy Nose at Night

My son Joseph is 11 and suffer's from common seasonal allergies. The most common is a stuffy nose and at night he does not get much air. Read an article several yrs' ago linking mood and oxygen level's during sleep. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing and can anyone recommend a simple home remedy for stuffy nose.
