Who Should Travel?

I know I will get a good mix of answers to this question....and I am looking forward to them. When a family has small children (new baby, other smalls at home), do you think it is equally their responsibility to travel to visit grandparents, or do you think that because traveling with small children (baby is breastfeeding still) is a task, that most visitors should come to the family with smalls most times? 15 Month Old and 15 Hour Car Trip???

Thinking of driving several states away to visit my parents (15 hours drive.) We have flown before, but nowdays we are a one-income family and that's not an option. Has anyone taken this long of a road trip with a little one around my sons age (15months)?? Any advice please would be great! Have also thought about taking off at night so he can sleep most of way through and it would be dark. But really concerned that would just throw off his sleep since it probably wouldn't be a great night's sleep and the whole trip he would be off. However,...

Car Seat ?

My son is 11 months and weighs about 22 pounds, woould it be okay to turn him around.I know you are supposed to wait until they are one and at least twenty pounds but he is really hating his car seat now and he looks a little silly being that big facing rear.He is crawling and has taken a few steps so he seems strong enough.Any thought would be appreciated.thanks

Need Help Choosing a Car

My car is in the shop and it might just cost more to repair than it's worth, and if so, I'll need to find something quick! I drive a Saturn Wagon... been thinking about a change anyway, because I can't seat more than two kids and I'd like more seating for friends, etc... I would love to hear what you are driving, what you like/don't like about it, how much seating you have, etc.. Thanks for your help!
