Hello Moms,
My daughter has excema on her face and the only product that she was tolerating was Vanicream. Her doctor spoke of Arbonne Baby products and thought I should give it a try. Any advice on the baby wash and lotion specifically would be great!

Hi Ladies,
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good all-natural deodorant that works? I have been using Tom's of Maine but it's not helping the smell at all! It's not so much a matter of too much wetness, but odor - even after daily showers, exfoliating, washing with a poof & body wash etc.. nothing works! I have also used prescription deodorant, certain dry etc.. and it hurts so bad it's hard to sleep at night and then you just end up with a red, flaky sore pit! I work for a health & wellness company so I try to stay as all natural as possible and I know I don't want aluminum absorbing into my bloodsteam but I want nice fresh pits lol :)
Any suggestions would be great!

Hi Ladies -
I feel that I've finally gotten to the age where I need to take better care of my skin, specifically my face. I would like to begin to use an anti-wrinkle or anti-aging moisturizer but there are so many out there that I can't decide on what to buy. I would really appreciate a good recommendation for one that has delivered visible results. I have medium-colored skin that is sensitive and somewhat acne-prone. Thanks in advance!

Ever since getting pregnant with my second son, now 13 months, I have had terrible acne breakouts on my face and neck. I have tried Proactiv, Murad and just about every other over the counter treatment I could get my hands on because my doctor won't prescribe anything as long as I am breastfeeding. Nothing has helped, and I'm tired of feeling ugly all the time. I won't leave my house without make-up, but even that only partially masks the problem. I had planned to wean at a year and then go see my doctor for help, but neither baby nor I are ready to give it up quite yet. I have decided that continuing to breastfeed is more important than my insecurities about my skin, but I would love it if anyone has some advice on a natural remedy that might help.

Hi there! Just wondering what face mask you ladies use to get that "glow". I have part oily & dry skin. The color of my skin is olive/fair (if that makes sense) LOL The skin on my face is also pretty dull and uhhhmmm gray. I currently use Phsycian's Formula Makeup...which I love so much however..that's just covering the problem! But need something to glow/brighten my skin for the days I don't wear makeup. Any ideas or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Hi,
I'm only 31 years old and I've just started noticing (especially lately with the sunny weather) that I am starting to get brown spots on my skin that look kinda like freckles. The more I'm out in the sun, the more I seem to get. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I can do (besides staying out of the sun which is kinda hard for me to do with 2 kids who always want to be outside) in order to minimize/reduce their appearance?

I was wondering if anyone uses or has used Dr. Hauschka skin care products...I have been having some major skin issues since by second child was born, and wanted to know what people thought of this line--positive or negative. I have tried pretty much all the major skin care lines, both prestige and mainstream, as well as prescription products, and am still plagued by continuous breakouts, some cystic acne, blackheads, and generally lousy skin. I have been really working hard to improve my diet and exercise regimen, but was wondering if a more holistic approach to skincare might help. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Also, I know there are a couple of spas/estheticians that use these products in the area...any insight there? Thanks!

I can't even move my fingers without cracking my skin and my hands bleeding. Hi Moms!
I am looking to switch the facial cleansing system that I use, but I do not know what would be good to try. I have used ProActiv for the past 7 years. I want to try something new because over the last 4 years my skin has begun to look significantly more aged...this could be due to the fact that I am 30, but I am holding out hope that it may be the skin care system! Ha Ha! :)
What would you recommend for someone who has skin sensitivity or breaks out easily? Also, I am trying to be more kind to our budget so I am looking to go cheaper if possible. I have heard that Arbonne is good, but of course it is WAY too pricey! Any good quality and fair priced suggestions? Thanks for your help!

In 'honor' of my pending 40th birthday, I've decided it's time for a makeover. I wear minimal makeup now so need to relearn what works best.
I use Clinique cleansing products, but don't like their makeup as it 'falls off' by noon. Hello! So I just had my first child last fall, one week after my 28th birthday. I love every second of being a mommy and caring for my son, but I sort of feel like I'm 28 going on 40 thanks to sleepless nights the first few months and busy mornings. Now that things have settled down and he sleeps 11 hours at night, I actually have time after bedtime routine and in the morning before he wakes up to do those pre-baby niceties like moisturizers, etc. I have fairly sensitive skin and managed to pass it on to my son, also. I'm wondering if anyone has a favorite product that will moisturize, smooth fine lines, and even out skin tone. I appreciate any suggestions and I'm open to something I can buy at Target or the direct sales product lines. Thanks and I look forward to hearing what keeps all of you looking so young!!

Hi Moms,
My daughter has beautiful long hair, but she has lots of "fly-aways", which I never really cared until now that she's starting school (I'll have to do her hair every morning so that it's not in her way during class). My sister-in-law says to use hair spray or mousse (which she does on her daughter who's hair is in bad shape to be that of a 5yr olds) but I'm not to crazy about putting chemicals on my daughter's hair.
She has wavy thin hair; it's to her waist & it curls more towards the bottom, the fly-aways are long enough to get in her face.
So.....Does anyone know of a product that will do the trick without damaging her hair?
Or does anyone use ordinary products & have had no problems on kids hair?
Thanks, all suggestions are welcome.

Hello Moms,
I had a day from hell yesterday. First I realized, that my favorite outfit for an upcoming friend's wedding is too small!!!! The skirt is so tight, I cannot even sit down. I just bought pricy shoes to go with it two days ago too!!! Well, I guess I have to loose at least 5 lb by this Saturday:(
On top of that - I notice a bunch of little wrinkles around my mouth and eyes!!! And I'm just 27!!!! Ughhh!!! I just wanted to cry! I guess my question is - Does anyone know of a good anti-wrinkle lotion? I know they are expensive though. I don't want to waist money on something that doesn't work. So I thought I would ask for your advice. Right now I just use Olay night lotion and day lotion. Nothing special for my eyes. I should say Olay is very moderately priced. If someone knows of something REALLY-REALLY good, I think I will suck it up and pay as much as $50. I'm just so upset:(
Thanks so much!!!!

Ever since I had my two children, my face is really oily in the T zone. After wearing my makeup for a couple of hours, I am ready to wash my face and start over. I have tried different foundations, but the oil finds its' way through in about an hour. I have tried sheercover mineral foundation, and it has worked the best, but is expensive. Does anyone know of a foundation I can purchase at the nearest Wal-mart that will stop the shine. If I have someone with proof that something works, it's a little easier to spend the money. OK - my skin is really freaking out! I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Sprue and one of the side effects is dry skin. The skin on my face is flaky, itchy, red in spots and sometimes even burns. I've never had problem skin, and am still not experiencing any dryness anywhere else except my face. This is really uncomfortable, and to be on the vain side - not very attractive!

I have 3 mixed kids (12,11,8), my daughter is the 8 year old and she is the one I need help with. I have never had a problem with her hair, ever. I learned how to do her type of hair long before I had kids so it was something I enjoyed. However, she spent a week at my moms and I told my mom 100 times "do not take her hair out"... well, the first night before she went to bed, my mom took her hair out! Not only did she take it out but she left if out for 5 days and then put it in a bun (because it was "too notty:) without combing it and left it like that for 2 more days!! Needless to say, my daughter now has just one big not in the back of her head and it is at the point where I have just soaked it in conditioner and tried to comb it out and it just isn't working! I cannot send my daughter to school like this come Monday!
I was wondering if anyone knows of some products that would help! She has beautiful (very thick and easily tangled) hair and I would hate to cut it! Plus, that is not even an option as the not is right next to her head! I could really use any advice .. other than the obvious "don't send her to your moms"! lol

I don't wear make-up. I never really have. Now, maybe I SHOULD have but I just never liked the way it felt on my skin. I'm rounding the corner to 36 and I would like something that evens out my skin a bit. I'm curious as to what everyone uses and likes. About my skin:
It's combination...very dry but gets oily in the "t-zone"
I have relatively large pores (a gift from my mother)
I think I'm light/medium tone as I have dark brown hair and hazel eyes
I'm not looking for a beauty system or process. I have to get two boys off to daycare in the AM and myself off to work. So, I'm looking for something quick, easy and basic. My husband doesn't want me to wear any at all as he doesn't like the pancake look, but I'd like to.
And, I've tried Mary Kay (a friend was a consultant and I had a party or whatever). I didn't like it at all. Too much to do and looked yucky on me.
Thanks for any advice.

When I was pregnant with my dd I noticed my skin started darkending on my cheeks and my forehead. After doing some reading I discovered that this was what they called the mask of pregnancy and that it would most likely fade after I had her. Well two years later I still have them. I was hoping maybe someone else had this happen and had used a product that helped to fade them. I am starting to get really self conscious about it. I can hide my forehead easily with my bangs, but it is hard to hide the ones on my cheek with makeup. Hi mamas, My fifteen month old has recently started to get tangles/matting in back of her hair each morning and after her nap. I think the cold weather/dry heat is to blame but I'm not sure how to prevent or treat the tangles other than brushing them out (ouch). Her hair is very fine and silky, like mine. In my case, hair products tend to weigh my hair down or make it seem greasy. So I'm looking for something that won't mat her hair or make it greasy. If it's a product, I'm looking for something fragrance free and hypoallergenic. Or maybe there's something I can add to her diet to moisturize her hair?

OK-while we're on the subject of getting ready for summer w/all the lotion talk I thought I'd throw my question out there. We talked about Mystic tan last week. But I'm wondering about all the self tanners (drug store or otherwise) that are out there. Which one is the best quality and best price? Is there one that is really good without the funky after smell? If you know what I mean!!? They all seem to have a really weird smell after a few hours. We're going to the beach soon and I'm wanting to get some color, but I've stopped tanning booths and getting a sun tan a few years ago. It's not worth the damage to my skin. But now I'm wanting to find a self tanner that's not too expensive, but will look good.
What's your thoughts on this?

Hi moms,
I badly need some skincare advice...
My face is going nuts...My sensitive/combination skin seems to be rejecting my usual skincare line (Aveda sensitive), which normally works great at keeping away most blemishes. But lately it seems my skin hates that and nothing else I try seems to work for me. I'd love some suggestions for reasonably priced (nothing in the $60 & up range please) cleansers & moisturizers from any other sensitive/combination skin moms out there!
Oh, and I do try and drink lots of water, avoid chocolate (mostly), and I've already tried Aveda, Prescriptives, Cetaphil, Philosophy, Purpose, Proactiv, Md Formulations, Mac, Lancome, and Clinique...among others...
Thanks so much!

Hi moms, I know this is a silly topic - but I am in a pinch. I was out in the sun for a long time today without my usual foundation on that has SPF in it and now my face is badly burned. I could kick myself for forgetting to put it on. I was wearing sunglasses which at the time, I was happy about (for protecting the skin around my eyes. ) But now I have horrible "racoon eyes" - it's white all around my eyes and you can see the exact line where my sunglasses ended above my eyebrows! I usually wouldn't care so much, but I have to go with my husband to an important work event with him Tuesday. If any of you have been in this boat, I'd love any advice you might have. Are there any inexpensive items (like bronzers?) from Walgreens that would help? I have medium toned skinned. Thanks!

This may be a strange question, but I was wondering what skin care products work for you other moms with nice skin. I can't keep my complexion looking nice no matter what I do lately. My face looks dull and blotchy, I have some acne by my hairline (not terrible but enough to be yuck) and it looks like I have a moustache! Lately I have been using either Alpha Hydroxy foaming cleanser and Neutrogena Visibly Even and I use Dove daily facial moisturizer with 15 SPF. I also use face bleach for the moustache problem but it doesn't seem to help with visibility. My hair isn't the nicest it has ever been either. It is kinda dry and lacks shine. Help! I used to look pretty and now I look like a hag! I guess lack of sleep and little time for upkeep don't help the situation either. If you have any secrets (that don't cost an arm and a leg), I would love to hear them. Thanks!
