I will be having a princess, a clown, scooby doo, a cowgirl and ......the easter bunny.
It would seem my 17 year old son wants to see how many parents he can piss off in one night by hopping through the neighborhood and giving away candy. Oh well, I guess we have the "trick" of trick or treat covered.

My kid is going as some Star Wars character (the blue soldier or something?) so I thought it would be cute for my husband and I to go as other characters like Darth Vader and Queen Amidala.
I'd love to go as slavegirl Princess Leia but I'd look more like Jabba the Hutt in that getup...however, isn't Halloween for scaring children anyway? So maybe I will!

I wanted to do a Wizard of Oz theme with my 3 girls this year, but they had ideas of their own. My oldest is going to be Silver Mist (fairy from Tinkerbell), my middle girl will be Glenda the Good Witch and my youngest is going to be a cowgirl (she has an obsession with boots right now. lol).
As for me, I don't usually dress up. However, my girls are asking me to do it so I will probably throw something together if I have time.

After many discussions we finally decided on a PURPLE lady bug for DD (5) and the muscle Spiderman for DS (3) with no mask-- I'm going to face paint the Spiderman face instead.
Hubby and I don't dress up unless we're going to a costumed party. We're oh so fun. :)

my 4 yr old wanted to be sponge bob.
Then my 3yr old wants to be tinkebell... my 4 yr old said if she is tinkerbell he has to be peter pan ( we got the costume in the mail yesterday and has only taken it off to sleep and right back on this morning). He told my husband that he has to Capt'n Hook.. so Im going as Wendy while trick or treating with the family then change into a pirate for my works party.
My other son wants to go as Miss Piggy and the other just wants a silly mask to cover his face.
My 15yr old is passing out candy because he said he is too old to dress up and is embarassed to go walking with the family with us parents dressed up ;)

I wanted to be the princess from the original Mario Bros. and have H and T be Mario and Luigi...but T vetoed that. Apparently they're not scary and therefore not cool.
So I'm going to be a vampire, H is "Death" and T is a "Phantom." Scaaary.
Vampires are pretty easy...since I'm already pale. Just add fangs. ;o)

There is a family in the neighborhood that goes all out, they look awesome! I love Halloween but I don't really feel like dressing up. My son, who is 3 1/2 has told me since August that he wants to be a to be a "firefighter pig". That means red firefighter jacket (has to be red!! and very hard to find) and a pig nose. I kinda am ignoring the pig nose part because I don't think he will want to wear that for more than a minute or two. He has not mentioned it for a couple weeks but the firefighter costume is arriving tomorrow!

I have a 2 1/2 year old Cinderella (who I literally had to hide her costume from her, I don't want it to get ruined before Halloween :)) and a 6 month old Minnie Mouse. Disney store has these adorable little onesies that match the characters outfit without being a dress or frilly at all, which is perfect for my wild little crawler. It also came with a little hat that has the ears and bow attached. I just hope it's not to hot to wear the hat, it's pretty thin so we should be ok. :)
My 2 1/2 year old picked out both costumes, this is the first year I haven't made all of our costumes.
My husband and I usually dress up, but since our oldest is old enough to know what is going on I promised him last year we didn't have to dress up this year we can just take her around. :)

This is our first Halloween as parents and my son will be an 11 month old baby Yoda from Star Wars. I am thinking of making a cinnamon bun headband for Princess Leia and if we can find a mask inexpensive, then my husband can be Darth Vader! But it might end up just Yoda!
Oh and last year I saw a family that was all dressed as characters form toy story... they even had a homemade Slinky Dog!

10 year old DD is being the Scary Godmother from some show on Disney channel. 12 year old DS hasn't decided yet, but this is pretty much his last year for trick-or-treating I think so it should be something good. DH & I only dress up if we're going to a party, which as far as I know, this year we're not.
**ETA**Last year when my sister, brother-in-law, husband & I had all 4 kids out trick-or-treating together we talked about every single one of us being a different character from Super Mario Brothers this year, but somehow it doesn't seem to have come together the way we envisioned it a year ago.

I probably won't dress up. Its not that I don't want to but I can't find the time. My girls (9 and 5) love the video game "Zelda" so my 9 year old is going as Link and my 5 year old will be Link's fairy Navi and follow her big sissy around yelling "Hey" an "Listen". Pretty much like everyday.

We dress up to pass out candy at our door. We also love seeing the kids in their costumes. So adorable. I'll gladly give out candy to oohhh and aahhh; a small price to pay for cheap entertainment. We will dress as a rooster (husband) and a chicken (me which is very fitting since I hate being frightened) with our little one will being an egg.

We have dressed up with these ideas for family costumes:
Son was pumpkin, Mom & Dad were farmers
Son was Peter Pan, Dad was Capt Hook, Mom was Tinkerbell
Son was dinosaur, Mom was cavewoman
Son was Scooby Doo, Dad was Fred, Mom was Daphne, baby daughter was Velma
This year we will all be Ghostbusters!
We really enjoy picking the idea together, finding the costume pieces (mostly second hand) and the pictures are second to none! Get creative and have fun.

@Lisa - your son is an evil genius! Super fun idea. I love his crisscross holiday mentality. Maybe you should leave him an Easter basket under the Christmas Tree.
My boy will be a fireman, my girl will be spiderman- not sure where she came up with that, and I am thinking Greek Goddess for myself, naturally.
Or maybe making myself and husband boxers as an inside joke about us always sparring.

Hi!
My 3 1/2 yo son will be Simba & my 2 yo son will be a smurf.
I dont normally dress up, I usually wear a Halloween shirt while we trick-or-treat. This year I am dressing up as a pirate. My 3 yo's birthday partu was pirate themed last year, so I have that costume.
I think it's fun yo dress up. My kids are excited that I am too.
