Hi moms:
I babysit my 2 and a half year old granddaughter 3 days a week (MWF). I'm a preschool teacher myself as well so we do a lot of fun things already. I plan to take her to library story time but I'm looking for a playgroup for both of us to participate in especially with the winter months coming up. Does anyone know of a playgroup or park district program/ preschool program where I could come with her too? We live in the Cary Area but would be open to a surrounding town.

What can I do next?

I would ask the Moms that you like from your preschool. You have access to so many people, you're sure to be able to hand select those you have something in common with. Also, the library story time should prove to be a great area to meet likeminded moms.

Meetup.com is free. You put in your zip code and search "mom groups". Then you can review them, see if its a group you're interested in, if so, join, then you will be notified of "meetups". Good luck!

Yes, definitely look up a "mommy and Me" playgroup. Doesn't matter that you're grandma.....you can still go and meet new people for her and you!
meetup.com.....great idea
