Have you tried moisturizing at night instead of the morning? I rarely have this problem but I also rarely remember to put lotion on my feet.
Ladies you were all so helpful with helping me deal with my long hair in this summer heat. Here is another quandry. I love sandals wear them every day, flats, wedges, heels love love love them. I always have a pedi and make sure my feet are moisturized so they don't look dry. Here's the problem. I can walk out of my apartment walk one block, look down at my toes and they already look a little dirty. Like the ladies I see with perfect loose hair on a gross hot day I also see clean feet walking everywhere. At first I thought it was the mositurizer that made the dirt cling, so I put it on a 1/2 hour before leaving home. No difference. when i wear my platform wedges it takes longer to soil my feet becasue they are not so close to the ground. Do any of you have this problem or know how to prevent looking fab from the ankle up and walking a 100 miles barefoot from my ankels down?
So what I am gathering from you fine footed ladies is the trick is to moisturize at night and have wipes nearby. I do, do the wipes when I see dirt, was hoping there was an anti-stick miracle out there. But I'm gonna try the night cream regime, hopefully remember, and I'll keep you all posted. I thank you as well as my tootsies!

I don't moisturize my feet in the daytime at all, or the dirt clings to the lotion.
Also... even though my son is allergic, babywipes live in my car. (Because they're so durn useful). Swipe and clean.
i guess since i moisturize at night dirt was never a problem for me. you might also want to try some baby powder in the am to help absorb the sweat that dirt may stick to. just watch it on the bottom of your feet or you'll be slipping all day!
First of all, I LOVE that you said 'conundrum', for some reason, that's been my word of the week, LOL! Second, I two have long hair and an addiction to flip flops. As far as dirty feet, I usually just don't care, I'm too busy running around after the kiddos, HOWEVER, when I do want my tootsies looking nice, I carry a few baby wipes around in a baggie. You can discretetly wipe your feet down (before you get out of the car, or before entering the store, whatever). I also love having them to wipe the sweat and grime from my face when we've been out in the heat for a while. As far as the hair, there is nothing that will tame this crazy red headed afro I get when it's super humid... except a pony tail. Even if my hair is up, I get crazy little ringlettes all around my face from the baby hairs that are too short to put up. I just laugh it off (daily)... I have always had crazy hair, and I always will. My 6 year old daughter's hair is JUST like mine, so instead of being upset about it, she likes that we have crazy hair in common :)
I have sweaty feet- they ALWAYS look dirty!!! :( I also have oily skin, so ALWAYS, my main focus is staying DRY-everywhere.
HOWEVER, I also have the problem of dry looking feet (cracked, rough skin). I've actually found that my feet should be moisturized at night- but I don't do it every day, about 3x a week, if I remember.
I use baby oil mixed with lotion at night (some people use socks to help lock in the moisture, I just can't do that in summer...too hot for me) and when I am about to go out I brush on some cuticle oil on my toes (just lightly...a little goes a long way). Good Luck!
