We're new to the Lehigh Valley. What's the best studio to use for our son's 1-year portrait? I would prefer something more natural--no crazy backgrounds or props.

We went to Sears, and they did a great job. The pictures are so wonderful. We went at 9 am on Saturday and didn't have to wait at all. The photographer was wonderful with my son, and the other woman at the desk (I think the manager) was fabulous as well. We will go back for sure.
We tried Sadies (Lehigh Valley Mall) for the first time and would not recommend them. They seemed over priced compared to other places and our pictures were not impressive.
Stay away from Sadies at the Lehigh Valley Mall. I have heard a lot of good things about Jack and Jills in Easton.

I just tried a new place in the Prommenade Shops in Center Valley called...Portrait Innovations. Absolutely one of the better picture taking experiences. I've tried Walmart's portrait studio but I was unhappy with my experience there. At portrait innovations, the photographer was very good with my kids, in capturing all of my six kids' attention. They were also creative with posing and backgrounds. Their props were nice too. Their portrait package was very competitive with other places like Walmart, Sears...etc. Here's their website, www.portraitinnovations.com

We used to go to Sears and liked the results. But this year we went to Portrait Innovations and LOVED them! What a difference. The photographers really get involved w/ the kids and do a great job at capturing natural smiles. They also know which backgrounds and poses will work best w/ your family. Plus, you get to keep the CD of the entire session. Granted, they talked us into buying a larger package than I planned on getting, but I don't regret it - our pictures were awesome. I HIGHLY recommend them.
I have 6 children and have been going to Sears in Whitehall for 12 years. They are great, esp with kids that don't want to sit still.
