I'm looking to purchase some good quality and heavy outdoor furntiure. I'm specifically looking for a table and chairs to put out by our pool so that we can enjoy meals outside. Living outside city limits it get real windy out here so I need something sturdy and heavy. I really don't have a lot of time to go from store to store plus I doubt I can find something at the usual mainstream stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. I'm looking for any stores you mom's can recommend that have a good selection.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure where Haslet is...Austin has a store called The Greenhouse Mall. It has super high-end outdoor furniture that is FABULOUS! If you are up for a drive, it will be worth it....if you have the money. It is custom outdoor furniture. You pick out what color furniture you want, you pick out which fabric for the chairs, etc....The umbrellas are so nice!! Huge or small....multiple ways of closing, etc...I'm sure you can google them. Have fun shopping!

Well this may not help right now, but we bought ours "off season" at the local hardware store. That's been 10-12 years ago and it still looks great. And because it was at the end of the season we got it cheap!
We do have some folding chairs we use a lot for our daughters softball games that we got at Target. Great chairs; good and sturdy but affordable.

We bought some Lyon-Shaw wrought iron from Sunnyland furniture at Spring Valley/Coit in Dallas about 16 yrs ago.

When we ordered, it was off season and they added our order to their regular order. It came in sooner than expected (no problem with that). We have been back a couple times, ordered new custom cushions, and got the plastic caps for the furniture (protecters for wood/stone etc) NO issues whatsoever....LOVE the furniture and it still looks great with minimal upkeep.

I know we spent more $$ than Target, Walmart ( I boycott Wally world) and others but if you look at the big picture...... We've bought ONCE and done. If you buy minimal quality...you'll be buying again soon.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR............16+ yrs about $2000....not a bad investment for something that STILL looks new and in good quality.

Good luck

Actually we found some very heavy wicker-look furniture (it is actually a plastic so it can be easily washed) at Target. This was 5 years ago and it still looks great! I have changed out the cushions on the chairs but that's it. I'd check there. If you are looking for teak and have tons of money, you can try Smith & Hawken. I love their stuff but unless I win the lottery, I really can't buy anything there.
