Hi,

My husband said his mom alway used to make him a Cherry cake for his birthday. I've made varitions of cakes with Cherries but it's not the same. I think he just wants a cake made with a cherry cake mix. Any idea where I can get one? I've look at a couple stores but haven't seen one.

Thanks,
P.

What can I do next?

Ive never seen a cherry mix but my grandma always makes diff flavors of cakes and uses the extracts and it always tastes like the real thing so maybe try cherry extract. You may even be able to subsitute cherry juice for the water or oil in the cake too. Good luck and I hope you find the right thing for your hubby.

Hi! I JUST got back from the Big Lots on Camp Bowie near Alta Mere (its in the shopping center with Hancock fabrics that is closing) near Dennys. They had about 2 doz boxes of cherry chip cake mix for $1 a box. It was by Betty Crocker. :)

It was either Albertson's or Kroger that I recently bought several boxes of cherry chip cake mix and the brand was either Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines. Mom too always made my younger brother this cake. It was his favorite!

I forgot to mention that you might have to look very closely on the last 2 shelves in the cake mix section that's where I surprisingly found it!

Good Luck!!

Thanks,
