V.T.
I do exercise, but I hate it and I don't think it works for me. I do, however, hide a pack of fun size snickers in my walk in closet. If the kids are driving me crazy, I lock myself in the closet and eat a snickers.
Any over the counter, supplements can I take to take the edge off during the day? I have been feeling so edgy and short tempered lately.

Are you getting any exercise, even a brisk walk a few days a week? My husband and kids say they can tell when it has been too long since I have been on the treadmill because I get pretty grumpy and short tempered as well. I have no problem admitting they are right. I can be in the foulest mood but when I get off that treadmill drippy with sweat, I am almost always in a better state of mind :-)
Make sure you are making time for "romance" with your SO.
A quickie when he gets home will do wonders for your mood, I bet. ;)
(I'm sure he wouldn't mind, too much.)
Check your diet for allergens or too many additives and preservatives.
Hormones?
Rescue Remedy is a safe way to take the edge off. Google it or find it at your local health food store.
Look at your diet. Food changes people.
For my brother and son, chocolate puts them in a bad place.
You might have a food allergy and not know it.
Perhaps practicing yoga would help.
Chamomile tea.
Hyland's Calms Forte- for adults
"Natural Calm" which is a powder you mix with water, magnesium in it, which is supposed to help and balance your calcium intake.
Look it up and the reviews on Amazon.
Try going to Whole Foods. The people in the supplement department are very helpful.
Or, if your edginess is due to PMS, then you have to get something to target that.
Better choices... getting enough sleep, meditating, finding out what's bothering you, yoga, making sure you're eating well and getting all the needed vitamins and minerals, looking at sources of stress in your life, and exercise.
(sorry - I don't think there are any supplements that help people feel less edgy)
forget the drugs & supplements.
use meditation to get thru the day. Even if you're hiding in the bathroom, it'll reboot you....
as will a nice non-alcoholic drink.
In other words, find 2 minutes for yourself & embrace them. Peace!
Clean the hell out of something.
Exercise works wonders for me.
st Johns Wort, works wonders with me, but takes about 10 days to take effect
Exercise would prob be best
Take a walk. Get some fresh air and exercise. It will release the same dopamine in your brain as something to take the edge off.
B12, exercise and more sleep.
My mom thinks Dr. Oz is the cat's meow, and she told me that he likes Bach's Rescue Remedy Spray. I haven't used it, but I know that The Vitamin Shoppe sells it. It's supposed to be natural stress relief...
do you have a shaklee distributor? if not I can recommend one. Stress Relief Complex helps my family.
