My daughter looks like she has had blisters on her hand. They are on the knuckles of her fingers. She has one on each hand. I am wondering what to put on them to get the redness out and to keep them from getting infected. Any advice would be great.

What can I do next?

I love neosporin, i use it for most of my kids owies. Sence she is young you might want to put in on right before bed. And just keep the area clean and dry as much as you can during the day, hard w/ a 1yr, but they heal quick.
Good luck

Hi C.! What are the blisters from? Check her mouth...does she have sores/blisters in her mouth too? She might have hand/foot/mouth disease.

It may sting a bit but i always use vinegar on open sores it works much better(just dab on with cotton ball or a q-tip) and it also taste gross so if your daughter is sucking she should stop. just use plain not apple cider or something like that. hope this helps if the sores start to puss white or green this is a sign of infection so watch if she needs to go to the doctor. God Bless, S.

If she has sores on both hands, is she sucking on them? If she is, make sure what ever you put on them is not going to cause more problems if it goes strait into her mouth.

My advice would be just to keep them clean (as much as possible) and monitor them for changes.

if its not hand, foot, and mouth disease (i would def check that out first) then i'd say, when my son was 10 mo old he burned his hands and i had to have them bandaged for a month or so. i used that gauze pad, and then that bandage stuff that sticks to itself to wrap around his little hands. it worked like a charm! he couldn't get them off, and i changed it every day and reused the bandage alot. i hope its not something serious! good luck!

I agree, neosporin is the best! It doesn't hurt at all and if she puts her hands into her mouth she can't get sick from it. At night after puting the neosporin and a band aide on you may want to try putting one of her very long socks on her hand and putting a long sleeve pajama top on so she can't get it off. My husband and I did this with our one year old at the time to stop finger sucking.
