What's Your Experience with Cymbatla?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me their experiences good or bad with Cymbalta. My Dr. wants me to change from Celexa to Cymbalta for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. The Celexa isn't working well enough & she feels the Cymbalta will. The problem I have with this is I am SO sensitive to any medication. I always have side effects that are so bothersome that I'm just plain scared to take medication. Has anyone had any negative expereinces with it so that I'm justified in feeling this way or am I just being paranoid?

What can I do next?

Hi Carrie. I was recently introduced to a line of health and nutrition supplements that are in an isotonic form, so they are the same ph consistency as your body. They have been fabulous for people who are often sensitive to medications. I was so impressed with them that I actually just joined the company! I am so excited to share what I have found with others and hopefully provide some help.

My website is www.marketamerica.com/rebeccahill. The product I would recommend to you is called Bliss. It's an anti-stress formula that helps stabilize mood. I also love the OPC-3! It has helped with things like asthma, fibromyalgia, digestive problems, and allerges just to name a few. I hope you take a few minutes and read a little about these products. They really are the best thing out there and have helped so many people. I hope they can help you too!

Please call me if you have any questions.

I HATED it!!!! I got severe headaches. My lower back felt like it was in hugh tight knots for weeks! I could not sleep at night. I had to end up taking sleep aids. I started have WORSE anxiety. And the thought of sex repulsed me! I was only taking 1/4 of the pill. Then after 3 mos I decided to no longer take it the withdraw side effects were dreadful! I just got off the sleep aids and it has been 6 mos. I will NEVER do it again.

Wow...Cymbalta made me very sleepy. I am on my 7th antidepressant over 6 years. Zoloft has given me the least side effects.

Also, remember that different people have different reactions to these meds so what worked great for one person may not work for another. Unfortunately it really is just trial and error - hang in there, girl!!!!!

I like Cymbalta. I am like you w/ the side effects, but Cymbalta doesn't really bother me at all. I am only on 30mg, but I know you can do 60 or even 90... but 30 works for me & I feel like a completely different person. I felt great the day after I started taking it. So, I think it's good. I've been on Celexa before... but it was a few years ago so I don't remember if I had any side effects. Anyway, good luck to ya!

I have both depression and anxiety. I had been on Celexa/Lexapro for years, then it suddenly stopped working for my anxiety. I was put on Cymbalta, and it helped tons! The only problem I had with it was... if i forgot to take it one day, I was a zombie the next day. Other than that, no problems at all.
