Maybe he is just "excited" when eating?
Being a baby, their expressions are sort of rudimentary, being they can't talk or portion control etc.
He also probably over-chews, because he is teething and it feels good on his gums, but then he gets irked because purees don't help the gums/teething. Trying giving him a frozen baby washcloth to knaw on.
I think he needs something to knaw on... his gums are irking him because he is teething.
And he probably sucks on his bib in between bites... because again, it feels good on his gums. Teething.
My son did that when teething.
Hopefully as well, he is "swallowing" well enough. In addition to chewing, coordination.
Are you giving him the solids, until "he" seems full or starts to push it away or turns his face away? That would indicate fullness.
