T.K.
I put a big ole roast in the crock pot with a ton of veggies and lots of seasonings. I love walking in the door to the smell of dinner already done- especially if all I had to do was throw some stuff in the crock pot and walk away from it!
What's for dinner in your house tonight?
Galwaygirl--We're having left over Chicken Cacciatore tonight! Yummy!
Tracy K--Gotta love that "dinner's done" Crock Pot feeling!

Heading to IHOP...Hubby won't be home tonight and kids eat free at IHOP:) Love breakfast for dinner!
It's payday for hubby! So every other Friday is pizza/takeout/fast food for us... Its my treat to myself for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner for 14 days straight...
Not sure for tonight - but this weekend we are making Vegetable soup and Pulled Pork sandwhiches (different days of course).
Well, its our No Kid Weekend so I think we may be using our gift card to Olive Garden and eating out...yippee!!!
Turkey Tacos...refried beans....and some Blueberry Pomegranate Frozen yogurt I just bought for dessert! Have a great weekend, mamas!
LOBSTER - apparently they are $7/lobster (not per pound) at Giant Eagle. Artichokes on the side. DS (6) LOVES lobster and artichokes. And at $7 he gets to have his own this time.
I put a pork roast in the crock pot yesterday with a mushroom / onion lipton soup mix and ketchup and brownsugar over it. and let it cook on low for 10 hours. hubby pulled it apart when he got home. last night we had pulled pork on plates. tonight we are having leftover pulled pork lol along with my new altime favorite sweet potato tots
Beef and broccoli teriyaki. The beef has been marinating for a couple days. 5 minute brown rice steamed. Easy. Found Six O'Clock Scramble this week after a friend told me about it. Planned meals and shopped with their list Monday, implemented all week. Crock pot meal tomorrow. Fancy fish dish Sunday. Freezing leftovers for some other busy evening. Have a good weekend, All!
whatever my husband decides to make :) it's his night! We have a ton of snow (with school closures) so he is home with both boys today and I am sure they will be busy sledding. So we will probably have some warm, comfort food like homemade chicken noodle soup. He makes the best!
Korean shredded beef street tacos; the meat is cooking in the crockpot right now!
Meatloaf, potatoes and green beans.
Pizza on Fridays! We also had a salad and guacamole. I also made some vegan cream of cauliflower soup from elanaspantry.com for the weekend.
Ramen noodles. We have a birthday party to be to, so dinner has to be quick and easy!
Probably not the type of dinner you are looking for, right?!
Speaking of dinners, I totally need to recommend the "Our Best Bites" cookbook. We have made our dinners this month solely from that cookbook, and every single O. has been a winner. This week we had:
Beef stroganoff
Chicken Cacciatore
Italian burgers with marinara sauce
Crepes
Best dinners this week: definitely the chicken cacciatore, and the crepe night! We had all sorts of toppings: sauteed mushrooms, spinach and bacon, and for the sweet ones strawberry jam, or cinnamon sugar, or apple pie filling. or bananas and whipped cream. Love breakfast for dinner, and love LOVE "dessert for dinner"!
Food!!
Just kidding. I don't usually decide until the last minute on Friday's.
Sad to say that we're down to chili dogs tonight, lol
I don't know! I really need to get to the store but have been putting it off because of snow and a grumpy little person with a double ear infection. If I get to the store to get the ingredients, I think I'll make spicy Italian sausage soup.
My birthday is in a few days and my husband wants us to take me to a new local restaurant I've been wanting to try so maybe we will do that tonight.
Last night was hot dogs, mac and cheese, and raw carrots. My 8 year old had her 3rd grade program :).
Tonight it will probably be out, unfortunately. We have a memorial service to attend at 530 that is about 20 mintues away, but with traffic may take me up to an hour. So we'll leave at 430. As soon as we can after school. I assume it will go a little late to start cooking something.
The kids are going to their dads tonight, the wife has a full schedule at work which means she won't be home until late, so it will more than likely be take out of some sort.
Today I am making stake, mashpotates and I am still deciding what vegetable to add.
Home made Sloppy Joes for tonight with some yummy pasta salad we get occasionally from a grocery store that is NOT our regular O. (I happen to be near it this week so went in and got some...hubbys fave and I like it as it is O. without onions in it! And nice light "dressing" to it).
Trying really hard to stick to a lower budget lately (med bills and some daycare kids going to PT, etc...college costs looming and a grad party to pay for as well), so eating at home is O. major area we can control!
We did great all week actually! I can DO this! LOL
Chicken and Broccoli Stirfry. At least that's what I'm committed to now.
Chic fil a!!! Its bingo night there!!!
Spiral cut ham, roasted potatoes and a veggie. Haven't decided which veggie just yet.
tortilla soup bubbling in the crock pot. yum!
Chicken noodle soup.
