This just happened to me! Suave was making my hair gross. I switched to 2 in 1 head and shoulders and now my hair is great- after 1 wash!
When I was a teenager (back in the stone ages), there were many brands of shampoo for oily hair. Now if you look on the shelves there's shampoo for flat hair, frizzy hair, to add extra body, etc., but no shampoo for oily hair. One of my teens is really having oily hair problems and I can't find anything he can use.
Suave has a clarifying shampoo which doesn't work. I really don't want to buy something from a salon since my kids use way too much shampoo despite my constant reminders that you only need a little bit.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Have you thought about looking at the www.ewg.org website for some good clean recommendations? Sometimes too many chemicals can cause the hair to produce more oils...also look to foods they are eating, it is typically a sign that there is not enough good fat in the diet. Good fats like Omega 3's such as extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, flax oils, avocados, hummus, raw nuts. Whatever we eat and lacking nutritionally comes out through our skin and hair.
Something to think about.
Good luck keeping up, you have a houseful! :)

Nutrogena Deep Cleaning is good. Herbal Essence also has a "Degunkify" shampoo. My hair became so oily while pregnant and these were the only two that could keep my hair clean.
My daughter likes head & shoulders "Ocean Breeze" it clears up the greasy hair pretty quick. There is also herbal essences "drama clean" she likes.
But I have her use only a light conditioner after.
