What Products Can You Not Stand?

So, I finally tried a Hershey's Air Delight. My instincts kept saying not to...that it sounded terrible.

It's terrible.

The inside of the candy bar...well, they advertise that it's infused with air bubbles and it will melt in your mouth. More like...it's got a ton of air pockets and tastes like dried out chocolate, and falls apart into dry crumbles in your mouth...no melting. It was disgusting...besides being a full priced candy bar with about a fourth of the chocolate.

So...what products have you been oh so disappointed in? I am curious!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Store brand soda...hm. Well, I'm a die hard Coca-Cola fan, and I do like Mountain Dew...but the only store brand/flavor I like is Black Cherry (any store brand)...yum. If a brand name would make that flavor, I'd probably buy it.

Hah...Squinkies! Seems like we have a little box full of Squinkies around here somewhere....they were just an "I have to have this!" and yeesh...although I think she did play with them for a few months.

Topsy Turvy...I used it to grow Romas, and it worked really well, but then my naughty neighbor boys came and picked them ALL and played with them, and I was SOOO mad! So then, instead of buying me some tomatoes, his parents brought me TWO MORE TOPSY TURVYS. OH MY! So yes, NOW I hate the thing!!!! :)

Oh, and about the Easy Mac...I don't think it's lazy. Honestly, I can make my own homemade Mac and Cheese just as quickly as the box stuff. The Easy stuff is great for children, because it's a lot easier to do three minutes in the microwave than 15 minutes on the stove. Who wants to have to wash pots and pans after lunch? I get enough of that after breakfast and supper. Besides, macaroni in our house in a rare treat.

Oh, the CRAYONS!!! Yes! What is the point of buying any other brand? I so agree!!!

Antibacterial anything. Makes me CRAZY.

Stop buying that stuff, it's not necessary, and is harmful.

* "Happy Meal" toys from any store. Ridiculous that they even call them toys.
* Gain detergent - I abhor the smell and it lasts forever - even through multiple washings.
* Lowe's brand paint - if you like watercolors, then it's just for you.
* Leapster, Diji, or any gaming device that only uses batteries and not a wall charger. Do you realize how often you have to change the batteries in these darn things?
* Any brand other than Crayola crayons. They just suck.

:) fun post!

Those mac n cheese easy to go kits, in a little tub that you add water and microwave. Nasty.

This is not a food product but in my opinion the hands free soap dispensers are the dumbest inventions ever. Seriously who cares how dirty the soap pump is if you are just going to wash your hands within milliseconds of touching the damn thing? This opinion is coming from a germaphobe with OCD so its gotta stand for something

Hamburger Helper.
My tenants get a lot of free stuff from the food banks and some of them bring me a bag of things they don't think they'll eat. One of them brought me 3 boxes of Hamburger Helper. I havent used it in YEARS, tried it a few times in a pinch when my kids were little and wasnt impressed back then except for the fact that it was easy and you can add things to it to doctor it up some.
Anyway, they still show the commercials endlessly on TV making you think it's good. I went ahead a got a pound of ground round last week and made the lasagna one. My husband was all "What is this sh*t?!" So, I put the other two boxes in the laundryroom for someone else to have.
Thanks for the alert on that candy bar, it's been on my mind to try one... I wont waste my candy indulgence money on it and stick to my mounds and almond joys for now ;)

i pretty much dont like any "budget" food. Food laden with preservatives, dyes, high fructose corn syrup, fake flavors, white sugar, white flour...............ugh it all tastes like death to me.

I don't mind buying off brand, but there are some things I've tried off brand and I can't do it..

Crisco.. the off brand is terrible.
Contact Solution... wish I could save $8 per bottle, but the cheaper stuff burned my eyes.

Can't think of any other off the top of my head.

Easy Mac n cheese is so ridiculous!! The boxed Mac and cheese was meant to be easier than home-made mac and cheese in the first place. Now we need a product for when the lazy people are feeling extra especially lazy? Come on people!

I bought one about a month ago and it was AWESOME. I bought another for my husband a week later, and he had a piece and it was terrible. So weird. One was great and the next one was terrible. I don't think it will do well. As for what was a total waste of my money...the Smooth Away Hair remover. Doesn't work a bit!

Great question!

I can't stand:
Gas station coffee
the Swivel Sweeper
John Frieda gel mousse (good golly, that stuff is awful and I have a big bottle of it!)
anything from the Melaleuca company (except their wrinkle release product, that's good stuff!)
Rice cakes! I remember my sister eating them all the time and thought they couldn't be too bad. Ackkkkkk!!! I was so wrong.
Hamburger Helper.

Thanks for the forewarning on the Air Delight. I shall avoid it!

Air delights! haha first time I saw that comercial I was like "Why are we paying the same price for LESS chocolate." For me it is certain off brand peanut butters. they are so hard! gross!
Kathy D: I am NOT lazy and I love the easy mac product. You can take it to work with you (i can't make the boxed mac and cheese at work) and I use to make it for my son all the time who when he is hungry wants to eat NOW. He is 2 and really does not understand the concept "it will be 15 minutes because mommy has to cook it"

Long ago, (I'm 54), there was a really stupid commercial about BIZ laundry additive...

It was really stupid, and I absolutely hated that commercial! I refused to use the product just on the grounds of the commercial..... I haven't used it since... I don't care how good the product is, I refused to buy that just because of the commercial.

Oh how funny!!! I have had no interest in trying that candy bar - I'm stuck in my "routine" Recees peanut butter cups...

I'm trying to think of what product I have purchased that I sat back and went - NO WAY!!!

I think it was the swiffer mop - the dry one - yeah - that was a waste of my time and money. I love the Wet Jet - but the dry one? No thank you...

Oh yeah! My girlfriend has the Topsy Turvy tomato grower - oh my word! horrible!! Thank God we went halves on it - it sucked. we threw it out after the first season.

I'm sure I'll think of more - but really - I stick to my normal stuff. Creature of habit when it comes to buying products...

I don't know if the hair manufacturers make it anymore since I don't look for it, but I absolutely, 100%, cannot stand home perm solutions! Ever since I was a kid, all I can remember is that awful ammonia smell from the perm solutions that my sister used. Every time she permed her hair, I would be in tears and my stomach would hurt. As I sit here and type this response, I'm getting chills as my memory is jogged by the thought of that awful odor! I cannot think of anything else that does has such a negative impact on me.

Wow, really? When I tried the Hershey's Air Delight it did melt in my mouth, and was really good. I don't get the whole air pocket thing they want to do, but the reason I tried it because it was cheaper then the regular Hershey bar. Maybe my store just had a really fresh batch delivered and priced it cheaper to get people to try it. I thought it was good, but really no different then a regular hershey bar (except texture).
The one thing I always hope works are paint edgers. I hate having to do the prep work and tape everything, but I love to paint walls. I have tried different brands and they always get paint on the wall it's not supposed to. I know at this point I shouldn't get dissapointed when I try them, but I can't help it lol.

Let's see, so many to choose from:

Store brand Miracle Whip
Utz brand potato chips
Alberto V-05 leave in conditioner ( I guess it's OK if you want to use Crisco as a leave-in)
2000 Flushes - it has two packets one for bleacn and the other just for color. I didn't know this. I thought 2 packs meant 2 bleaches. Who wants JUST blue water....it's nasty, but it's blue?

Ugh! I agree with the Hershey's Air Delight - it truly is awful. There's a chocolate in Japan called Kiri No Ukibune (with the English translation of "Vessel In The Fog" written right on the packaging), which has been around for decades. Now THAT is exactly what Hershey was trying to accomplish with their Air Delight. Too bad they failed dismally.
