Ah, a trip to Mandeville to go to the Fresh Market with my Aunt early in the morning, then to a birthday party over that way for my bestest friend's daughter.

Absolutely no housework or errands - just a day of fun with family and friends.

So looking forward to it !!!!

Final storm preperations, if for some reason we aren't done. We want to get everyone through the shower as late as possible...because who knows how long power and hot water will be out. On a day like toady, I think I'd give almost anything to have one of those Saturday's where we could go in 20 different directions :). And there is no breathing for us today either - we are still in the throws of preparing to protect our family, pets, and home/cars.

Tomorrow? Well, Hurricane Irene is on her way up the coast...so making sure the gutters are cleared and the roof doesn't have any debris on it - making sure any branches that look weak are cut back so that they can't be used as a spear by the wind! :)

then having fun!!! storms can be a blast to watch!!

Tomorrow I'm going to try to organize my just-moved-into house. It's a wreck of boxes and STUFF. The basement already has SO much stuff that is going to be put in a garage sale!

Might I suggest, instead of doing your teen's school shopping, that you have her write up a list, or give her your list, along with as much as you want to spend in cash and drop them off at Walmart or Target? They're old enough to appreciate shopping on their own and learning to budget. Even better if you tell them that they can keep the change. ;o)

Use that time to do the gift shopping/drop off thing. Viola! You've just simplified your hectic day.

Wow, you do have a lot going on tomorrow. As for us, stuff around the house to get ready for my son's 2 year old birthday party in the evening. His birthday is actually today but we are celebrating it tomorrow with the family. Then Sunday, church and hopefully relax for the rest of the day. :)

Our last few months have been nonstop busy. Hubby is out of town until Sunday evening so this weekend it's all on me.

Tomorrow brings a nap for my 5-year old daughter, who just started kindergarten this week. She's been doing good in school, but getting grumpier by the day at home so it's my mission to make sure she gets all caught up on sleep. As far as the morning goes, we may make it special and go out and get some donuts.

I've got lots of laundry to do. I need to go through my daughter's closet and dresser and remove clothes that are too small and also all of the clothes she can't wear to school now due to the dress code (shoulders have to be covered so all of her summer dresses have to go so we don't have problems getting dressed in the morning). I need to clean up the house some and organize some things. The forecast for tomorrow is 100F so we'll be spending the day inside.

You are busy.....

We will be around the house, run some errands, I will shop with my daughter.

Our neighbors are having a back to school party from 3-midnight and they are known for some awesome adult beverages. We'll stop in, visit with neighbors, have a little dinner and some adult beverages.

My husband's a golfer, too, so I know how it is to work around that schedule. 5 hours guaranteed, plus travel time, plus practice time (getting there about 30 minutes to an hour early). Even if he does get home in time to do anything, he needs to unwind and even sleep, especially after playing in the Texas heat!

I had to put my foot down for tomorrow. He's gonna hang out with his father in the evening, so the rest of the day is mine (and the baby's). It won't be easy, though. I'm still getting out baby gift thank-yous, and I can't very well write and cut pictures with a little one hanging from my tit. (Sorry--teet? Moooo!!)

ETA: Change in plans! I've got a nail appointment first thing in the morning (as if I have the option of sleeping in) and then breakfast. I'm good with that.

It looks like a lot to me because you know darn well there are about 15 other things that fall in between those solid commitments. I would certainly combine though, like put the gift shopping in with the school shopping instead of making it two separate things. I would also probably push the shopping all together to Sunday.

My Saturday is pretty busy, I got up at 4 do work stuff until 8 when everyone gets up. Take my oldest to the store for book covers (no time to do it on Sunday). Drop all four kids off at my mom's run back home to get some accounting work done for our business (due Monday). Go back out to get the kids and wait for our friends to come over with their kids for game night. Oh yeah, I should probably pick up the house a bit for company.

I just like to imagine that everyone is crazy busy. = )

Happy Saturday!

P.S. My Sunday is worse.

OOH, let me vent, let me vent! My day is busy, too, but I don't have to leave the house if I don't want to! I may even be able to ride out this craziness while still wearing my pjs. We are in the process of moving, which is always soo fun, packing a family of five. My husband will be at work all day and I'm at home with the kiddos, ages 6, 3 and 4 months. Because we knew we were moving, and didn't want our son to switch schools (again), I've been homeschooling these past few weeks. This week I got NOTHING done on the homeschooling front because we were in our new community looking for housing. So, today is a huge school catch-up day! Yesterday I got a phone call from the people who own the home we are currently living in and a realtor will be stopping by today or Monday to get this house on the market. My house is a DISASTER! UGH! Thanks for letting me vent! The next few weeks are going to be absolutely rotten, but I am so excited about the end result! Hope you survive your day!

This morning I am going to bike ride for at least an hour, no matter what , so that I can exercise. I have to take one daughter to pottery class for two hours. One daughter is in a double header softball game forty five , minutes away, and following that my son has a soccer game. Finally my oldest son has drivers ed and we are in the middle of starting homework projects. My husband teaches Sunday school in the morning, and will leave for church early so tonight I am going to iorn while we watch a movie and get organized. It is a busy time of life but I know that someday I will miss all e activity and do my best to embrace it now.

Tomorrow we have swim lessons for both kids (10:30-11 and 11:30-12, of course couldn't be at the same time or even back-to-back) and a birthday party in the late afternoon. At some point, I need to make a quick run to Target and Buy Buy Baby. Not bad, right?
Oh, wait...we got back from vacation late Sunday night, my hubby threw his back out Monday morning and my assistant was out all week sick and I've been working alone. I haven't even unpacked, let alone caught up on laundry or cleaning or gone grocery shopping so we have some sort of fresh food in the house and hubby can't help much since he can't even bend to put his own socks on. I also started potty training my daughter on Monday. Finally, can't forget that I need a present, card and gift bag for the birthday party!
So tomorrow I plan on fortifying myself with the promise of wine after the kids are in bed in order to get half of my to-do list done. Remember back in the day when weekends were actually a time to rest? :-)
