They like watching movies at home so I gave him a 3 month gift subscription to Netflix... he liked it so much they renewed it when the gift expired and still have it a year later!

I would like to know what you moms get for YOUR dads on fathers day? Of course, they never need or want anything, but we like to do a little something for them. Please share your ideas because I am stumped this time. I will share a couple of my recent gifts: a snack basket with a SI magazine subscription, and a nice photo album because he recently bought himself a new camera and is taking LOTS of pictures. Thanks Moms!
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful ideas- I will keep them in mind for future holidays. I decided to get him 2 tickets for a scenic tour on the Granbury riverboat. I thought that might be a nice little afternoon getaway. Very reasonable prices too. Thanks again!!

My company does custom engraving and we could engrave a picture of the family or of your girls on a number of guy-friendly items (e.g. Dresser Caddy http://www.grantlaserdesigns.com/catalog/item/3655368/432... OR since he takes lots of pictures, a photo album with a picture engraved on the front would be neat...here's some examples: http://www.grantlaserdesigns.citymax.com/page/page/429220.... We also have lots of small items, keychains, pocket knives, pens, candy jars, etc. that are good "guy" gifts. You can find us at www.grantlaserdesigns.com. And I'm more than happy to help with ideas, designs, etc.
p.s. I'm getting my Dad Rick Steves travel DVD's because as you can imagine...he's got a million engraved items already!! :)

I am giving my dad the new MK men's line from Mary Kay. He loves to smell good and look good. I usually give him cologne....sort of a tradition since I was little so I thought I would put a different spin on things. If you're interested, then check out my website at www.marykay.com/loribethhammond
I've noticed that a pretty card with a gift card to a nice restaurant or movie theatre gift wrapped in a pretty box with earth tone colors seems to work out great everytime.
For Mother's Day and Father's Day we gave my parents stepping stones for their newly landscaped yard with footprints of the girls and their names. The girls helped decorate them and my parents loved them. For Father's Day we are also giving my Dad a cigar sampler from www.finewinesathome.com.
My dad is a cancer survivor, so I make a donation to the American Cancer Society in his honor for Father's Day each year. I think it means more to him than any material gift.
Hi Michelle, my Sisters and I have had to get really creative with our Dad because yes, they never "need" anything LOL! WE got him and my Mom tickets to see different bands in concert from their era and he/they have loved it! We have done that a couple of times and will keep doing that! Many blessings, J. :)
Well, what I am going to get my father sounds like it would be perfect for yours also!!!
I have discovered digital picture frames! You put in a memory card with photos and it presents them as a slide show in the frame. We live about 6 hours from my family so I plan on filling up a memory card with snaps of the kids and putting it in the frame. My dad probably misses the kids more than anyone so I know he is going to love this new cool gadget (he is in his 70s so 'gadgets' usually don't go over very well)...LOL :)
I have found them at target, fry's, and best buy and the price depends on the size and picture quality you want!!!!
hope this helps!
