It was my husband's turn to pick a movie last night (darn, he didn't choose The Vow!!) and we saw "The Grey". It was a very tense movie to watch and I hated the way it ended. ( Don't want to give the details and ruin it for those who still want to see it).

What can I do next?

I was very disappointed in the entire movie. The language was way too rough and you didn't really want to like any of the characters except for the black man.
Don't read on if you still want to see it.
There were so many holes in it!! It was completely unbelievable. I will just point out one: if you fall into freezing water, you will live about 5 minutes if you are not able to get dry and warmed up! So, he probably died in the stream and hallucinated the rest. I know I just said one thing, but can't stop myself. Would the den have been completely out in the open?

Yes I hated the ending!! We even made the mistake of purchasing tickets for those bebox seats or whatever you call them. They move along with the action in the movie. So with that, the regular cost of the tickets and popcorn we spent around $60! So disappointed. But yes I was so disappointed with the ending and if you think about it the story line kind of stunk. This was one of those times that the best scenes in the movie were in the previews. I will admit that I was the one that chose the movie. Oh well.

I really liked the movie. Just because it doesnt end the way people think it would they dont like it. I was a very dark/depressing film, but very well done. I think Liam Neeson did a great job.
I also saw The Vow last weekend (it was a busy movie weekend considering I NEVER go to the movies)I thought it was a cute chick flick. I didnt realize it was based on a true story. It was worth watching though.

Just saw this last night with my hubby. It was very intense and I found myself gripping my seat chair at points. My gut reaction to the ending was "really, that's it?" but after thinking about it, it makes sense. And I don't understand the comments about the language . . . of course it has coarse language, these were a bunch of guys working in the middle of nowhere, Alaska, and the opening monologue explains they are ex-convicts, fugitives, etc. So, really, what would you expect? The language was realistic. I will agree that the fact he stumbled right into the wolfs' den was a bit unbelievable. Especially after crossing that that large river gorge, I would have thought they would have removed themselves from the danger zone. But overall I enjoyed the movie.
