We are spending a weekend away with no kids and would like to stay in town. We are looking for a very nice hotel where we can relax for the weekend. Any suggestions would be great.
We sent my in-laws to a B&B in Stillwater (http://www.sauntrymansion.com/) and they loved it. Stillwater is such a great get-away....and close to home! Enjoy your weekend away!
My husband and I spent an evening at the Nicollet Island Inn. It's near downtown Minneapolis and St. Anthony Main. It's a beautiful hotel right on the river, with about 24 guest rooms. There's a fantastic restaurant in the hotel where you can have dinner or breakfast. We had dinner at a nearby restaurant, went to a movie at St. Anthony Main, and had breakfast at the hotel the next morning. It was very romantic and I highly recommend it!
Go to Stillwater or Duluth if that's not to much out of town.
My husband and I just had one of these weekends last weekend. We stayed at the Hotel Ivy and had a great time. We had a great meal at the Hotel Ivy's restaraunt, Porter & Fry. I've heard that the Graves Hotel is nice too. Have fun whatever you do.
Graves 601 is great. Their restaurant, Cosmos, is fabulous, too!
