Does anyone have an idea, how to do waxing at home? I should be able to do it myself?

What can I do next?

I do my bikini wax myself using Sally Hansen's spa wax. I have found that if you really want good results you need to use a wax that requires heating... those "melt with your body heat" sugar waxes, just can't grab hairs as short as I need them to and end up leaving too much behind. I don't wax anything else as I'm just not willing to let hair grow back between waxes (sparse and fine as it may come in).

If I were you I'd make one more trip to get it done professionally and really focus on what they are doing. That'll probably give you more insight into technique than anything we post here.

Tips:
Make sure the area is clean and dry.
Dust on a (very) little bit of baby powder especially if it's hot where you are.
Heat the wax a bit warmer than they recommend (they don't want you to burn yourself, but thinner is better as long as it isn't scalding and runny).
Do small sections while you get the hang of it.
Pull the strip quickly, then immediately press your hand on the area to avoid pain.
Lidocaine burn ointment works GREAT to avoid redness and irritation.

I was my own body for more than 10 years. Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you could use one of those "Veet" electric epilators. I use it on my legs and underarms. It saves me money, because I don't need to buy wax for that. For the bikini area I use "Sally Hansen Extra Strengh Brazilian Bikini waxing & Shaping kit".It is very practical: you microwave it and use. I buy it for about $10 at CVS. Don't buy the one saying "lavender scented"... It is a different kind of wax and doen't work wel. Just be careful and test the temperature before applying, but also, if it's too cold won't stick to the hair. Follow the instructions and make sure you smear the wax in the direction the hair grows and pull it the opposite direction. Also, don't try more than 2 times in the same area. It will hurt you... Well, I hope I've helped... :)

DON'T. Not unless you've had it done professionally at a good salon (not just a nail joint or hair place that does waxing on the side, but with a waxer who is part of a waxing department, who spends 8 hours a day, 7 days a week waxing... and has been doing it for a few year) at LEAST once, and preferably a few times. That way you can watch them and see exactly what they do. It will also (because of their experience) be the least painful, so you'll be able to more accurately judge whether a higher level of discomfort would be tolerable.
