You should go to the dr. They can atleast look and hopefully give you something to get some relief. Not a good area to have problems.
this is a question about my privates. For about 2 weeks I've had some itching and pain in the very front part of my vagina. It isn't constant. Sometimes it really itches and sometimes it hurts. And we know how sensitive that area is that it probably wouldn't hurt on any other part of the body ;-) I don't believe it's a yeast infection. Tried to see if it is an ingrown hair, but didn't see anything. I've been putting anit fungal cream on it and that helps a little. But not sure what else I should do. Any ideas? Should I go to the doctor? Thanks and sorry about the TMI...
Edit: Just to let you know I have not changed detergent or soap, it doesn't burn when I pee and I don't have any discharge. Don't know if those matter. Thanks for all your help, guess I'll give my doc a call.
Thanks everyone. I went to the dr and it was bacterial vaginitis. So now I have that lovely cream to inject every night. Thanks ladies for your help! Y'all are wondrful!

Have you changed detergents lately? If I use anything other than my usual (Tide) I get some discomfort.
Uh hum.....Sounds like a yeasty beasty sorry :(! Yep go to doc and confirm it and get what you need to have relief!!!!!
I would call the doc and just see what they say. Could be anything.
definitely go to the doctor!
and just an fyi because I have had this too- if it is a yeast infection you can pass it back and forth with your hubby! so that may be why its coming and going between treatments.
feel better!
go to your doctor. he or she can diagnose and treat it quickly and then you'll wonder why you waited so long!
Yeah it does sound like a yeast infection, however I once thought I had one & noticed it only happened when I wore a curtain pair of underpants. (I had many of them in different colors). I am allergic to a chemical in laytex that is used a lot in sewing up undergarments so my body just did not agree with them.
I would try to see a doctor though dear. Sorry!
& Good luck.
Please go see your doctor. So many of these 'mysteries' can get nasty if left untreated.
could be vaginitis. I'm no doc.. so prob best to have them check it out..but you could look that up on the net as well.. often, ppl mistaken vaginitis with yearst and vice versa.. or could be a little of both..
good luck
Yes, go to the doctor.
go to the doctor you may have a more serious infection ... I get Bacterial Vaginitis and there are a TON of symtoms that show up but you do not have to have all of them to have it.
The only advice I would offer is to go to the doctor. I have not had a lot of the typical symptoms with my last 2 yeast infections. But clear as a bell under the microscope for the doctor.
Plus that way you know what it is because pain the hoo-hoo is no fun.
I agree with Lucky. Sometimes, self diagnosing isn't the best. I'd hit up the GYN and get some cultures done and see what's up and get a script for some relief.
I agree go see a doctor... Are there any sores? Does it just itch and is painful?
Hope it turns out to be nothing that some drugs can cure...
2 weeks!! Time to see a doc... in the meantime, since you don't know how to treat it unless you know what it is (and you won't know until you see your dr), try wearing a skirt with no panties and let your lady air out ;)
I had this once from a chemical burn from the Sally Hansen "down there" hair removal. This was on the front part not below. I rubbed aloe vera on it and let a fan blow on my area for a few minutes several times a day. The irritation was gone within 2 days.
Sounds like a yeast infection. Sometimes when I get them I don't have any of the traditional symptoms but that's def what it is. As soon as I treat it, symptoms gone!
I would recommend you speak to your doctor. They will probably want to test you and do some blood work. Have you changed soap or detergent recently? It could be fungal in nature and you may need something stronger by mouth.
You could try an anti-itch cream with cortizone in it. It could be stress related, sometimes that happens. You could always just go to the doctor too but it happened to me and the cream I bought at Walgreens (it was the store brand) worked.
It does sound like a yeast infection. Did you try to use the yeast treatment and it didn't work? I would call the doctor since it has been 2 weeks.
