Waking up from Pooping

My son is 8 months, breastfed and on table food. For the last week or so he is waking up from his afternoon nap after EXACTLY an hour with poop. He is screaming and very upset, clearly not ready to be awake. I have tried changing him right away and putting him back down with no success. I need a solution. I don't blame him for not wanting to sleep with poop, but this schedule is just not working. Will his body eventually come up with a different schedule? Anyone with Elimination Communication experience have advice? Please help!

What can I do next?

Yes, pooping wakes a baby or child.

My son, who is now 4, cannot nap/sleep if he has to poop.
Thus I don't put him to nap, until he poops. And that is usually after a meal. Either breakfast or lunch.

My son, will poop, anytime after eating, up to 1 hour after. I know that.

Try putting your son to nap, AFTER he poops.
So thus, factor in this 'timing' into your nap schedule for him.
Feed him. THEN wait for him to poop. Then put him to nap.

You can't change when he poops. But you can alter your nap schedule for him... for AFTER he poops.
Try feeding him earlier... so that he poops before his nap time. Not after.

Wait til he poops then put him down for a nap. Easy peasy, right?
