I have a friend whose husband never did the 3 month mark...and well now they have a two year beautiful girl!
Make him do it!
I'm curious for those of you who's husbands have been through this, did any of them get a "veto" from the doctor for "unprotected sex" at the 3 month mark? My husband had his done in January, and hasn't been in to drop off his sample... I keep telling him that I'd be HAPPY to drop it off - he just has to do it...
Anyway - I'm tired of condoms... I'm just curious if any of you were told that your husband was still dangerous after that 3 month mark.

Nope. In fact, we didn't use anything afterward. I figure, if he does the V and we STILL get pregnant, someone is trying to tell me something! :)
My husband never got checked and its been probably 3 years or more. (I don't recommend this for you...just telling you my story) His cup is still in the brown paper bag in the top dresser drawer. Blahc! At this point....I don't care anymore. I use to stress about it. But his Dr, said he has hasn't had to redo anything since the 80's.
Perhaps you just need to stop "it" all together until he fulfills the specimen for you.
I'm pretty sure our wait period was only 30 days, and I made sure that he did bring in the sample and get an all clear before going without protection. He was in the clear, but I wouldn't risk it without a test.
What's the point of getting the vasectomy if you aren't assured that the procedure was effective? We were free and clear and that's when I stopped birth control.
i'd be very annoyed with him. it's just not that hard.
yes, my dh had a tiny, tiny number that showed up at the 3 month mark. it only takes 1, so we kept using the condoms (blah) until he got the okay.

he needs to go in and make sure it's all good to go. I don't remember how long it took, but I just remember he had to have 3 good samples and we were ok. I think it was maybe a month???
My hubby had to do 2 rounds of a 3 month check for an all clear.
I was so adamant about not having an oopsie, I stayed on the pill until I had a complete hysterectomy years later. Now that was the best thing I ever did... no worries...
No, I did not have the hysterectomy for birth control purposes.. it was medicinal and well worth it.
Just wanted to mention that friends of mine recently had baby #4 because they didn't wait to get checked after the husband had a vasectomy. I don't know what the odds are, but I would definitely get tested!
yes my husband needed to test twice before we got the ok. it took
FOREVER to convince him to do it. I finely had to suggest I help him get the sample both times. I think it took the embarrasment out of it for him I also had to drop off his samples but at least I knew we were safe then
