I have the Dyson animal and LOVE it. I have lots of tile, two dogs, and three cats. My Dyson works overtime keeping up with all of the hair, but it works great!
Which Dyson Vacuum is the best? There are so many different kinds of Dyson vaccums out there and I am not sure which kind works the best. If you ladies have a Dyson and can give my your advice, please let me know. I have tile in all my downstairs and carpet all upstairs. Thanks

Read the reviews. I was set on getting a Dyson when our vacuum died a few months ago and was mighty surprised to see very mixed reviews on Dysons. Check out sites for Target, Sears, Home Depot and others where they post reviews.
I ended up getting a Bissell Momentum Cyclonic because it had the best reviews out there. We've been really happy with it and amazed and how much dirt it brings up. Easy to use, too, and a fraction of the cost of a Dyson.
I have the Dyson Animal. It works well. My one thing I do not like is it is heavy. Also the suction is really strong when using the hose. The suction is a good thing, but I find that I sometimes struggle with the resistance of trying to extend the hose completely (and having the actual vacuum chase behind me instead of staying put). I have had this vacuum for several years now, so newer models may be different. Overall, it is the best vacuum I have ever had/used.
Hope this helps!
We have the yellow dyson, don't know the name of it. We have had it for at least 4 or 5 years. It works great! We have 3 dogs and 2 cats (one of the cats sheds ALOT) and it picks up their hair with no problem. We have never had any problem with lack of suction. One time it started making a funny noise. My husband looked up the problem online and was able to repair it himself.
I bought the Dyson Animal earlier this year based on friend reviews & other reviews. There's always gonna be haters out there, especially for popular items - I had to keep that in mind. I was prepared to use a 20% off coupon at Bed Bath & Beyond after I was told I could take it back even a year later for any reason, but then I was reminded of Costco's return policy & managed to order it during a discount they were offering that made it a bit cheaper than BBB. I've been very pleased with overall performance - I have mostly tile & a few large rugs. The attachment hose is awkward, but I don't use it that much. Despite having a dog, I never use the animal attachment, so I could've gotten away with spending a bit less, but I do enjoy the option of using it. I vacuum more often than ever. Good luck with your decision.
I don't like the cheaper ball one. The collection can is smaller, seems to clog more and just overall not as good as the animal one. I have the purple animal one too and have had a few minor repiars in 3 yrs. Ours was a gift, if it was my $ I may have bought a kirby. I had an in home demo and it seemed amazing (but heavy!). But I do like the dyson animal, my previous vaccum was an oreck (disliked suction) and hoover bagless (suction/clogs easy).
I have the Dyson Drive--but I have never used the car attachment. Any Dyson (I will probably try the Ball next) is better than any other vacuum!
I Have the Dyson for pet hair and i love it. The only problem that i have found is when you need repairs on it it is explensive. I have had to put mine in the shop 2 times in the last 3 years due to belts breaking and lose of suction. It works great on floors and i love the ability to vacume the stairs without having to drag it up and down the stairs.
I love my Dyson Animal, the purple one.
I've had it maybe 6 years? Quite a while and have never had a problem with it. It gets used A LOT! I have 2 big, long haired dogs, (golden/lab mixes) 2 teenagers with lots of friends in and out. And a DH who can be as bad as the kids.
I have the ball, it's not as heavy as my old vaccum to push, which is great. I also don't have dogs though....so it's getting treated really well.
