We have some united Miles that are due to expire this month. We are not really ready to use them all on air miles but want to do something so we don't loose them. Suggestions? What is a good deall to buy with them.
You can donate them. There are so many children that need medical care and their family does not have the funds to fly them to get proper care. Airlines have special accounts that your points could be put into and they are used to fly children to various hospitals for treatment and home again.
If you go the Mileage Plus website, there's a number of different things you can redeem miles for without using them for travel. You can gift them to someone else, donate them to a charity, or use them to buy things at any number of merchants for stuff like cameras, etc...
you can buy any one of thousands of things to give yourself another 18 months to use them or message me and we can work something out where i will buy them from you
just purchase meals or something that would extend your expiration date
Check on the policies of the program. Sometimes adding additional miles to your account might extend all of them. ie Buy something on one of their associated merchants and earn some new points. I don't know if United has that policy. If you have enough for an airline ticket you may be able to have a ticket issued that is good for one year before it expires. Please check all the rules keep changing on the airlines and the loyalty cards.
