Where do you go online, or in person, to find unique gifts?

For example, one place I go online is RedEnvelope.com. They have some interesting, unique gifts. Of course, etsy.com is another site for handmade unique gifts.

Where do you look for unique gift ideas?

Over the years...I stick with just basics....tea, coffee, wine, chocolates, flowers, or if it has to be shipped then fruit baskets from Harry & David or potted flowers or plants sent FTD.

I looked through the Red Envelope site and I think their stuff is expensive, plus there would be the S&H...those stepping stones are available at Michael's with coupons for the same $$.

Don't get me wrong, I have bought plenty of unique gifts over the years..but I don't find the recipient to be all that wowed by my hunting for the unusual.

If I want something homemade then I go to local craft fairs as well.

Etsy. I love unique, one of a kind vintage or handmade, items, some are even heirloom quality. There are a few other sites that are comparable, I just can't think of the names right now!
