Lightweight stroller that reclines, with a shade. Mine LIVED in theirs' til age 4y. Saved my sanity.
Hello!
We have a travel system for our little one but he will soon outgrow the car seat and the stroller is pretty heavy. The stroller is good ans sturdy to take him to the park but not for travelling. We may be going on a vacation soon and I was wondering what is the differenc in a lightweight stroller and an umbrella stroller?? which should I get for a quick trip to a store or a cruise or vacation?
As alway your responses are much appreciated.
Thanks everyone for very helpful tips!!! I ended up ordering the UPPA baby lightweight stroller!!!

I wouldn't get the umbrella. They are too flimsy, you can't carry anything on them and they are not that comfortable for the kids. Best wishes and God bless!
Lightweight. I did a lot of research on them. I'm 5'2the hubby is 6'. Lightweights tend to be taller. I have the Uppa Baby and my 55lb 6 year old still rides in it once in awhile. It weighs 8 lbs has been to Disney, on countless airplanes and serves as my daily stroller for walks etc. McClarens are nice too just not as light.
Lightweight stroller is sturdier and much more comfortable for your little one. The umbrella stroller has a tendency to kind of "fold" around them and as your child gets larger, is not as comfy as the lightweight with keeps the sides kind of away from them and gives them a bit more room. It also has a bit taller handle which is more comfy for you. Have fun on your vacation!
A friend of mine got one at Pottery Barn kids - awesome- I was always jealous - mainly because my kids would never sit in a stroller - they wanted to walk - geesh!
But I had a koolcraft and for the quick little jaunts we did - excellent and the price was right for my kiddos.
Umbrella without a doubt. Always used for my children and now grandchildren. I cannot see anything bigger for running iin an out of a
store or a vacation.
When you go shopping for a lightweight stroller be sure to open it up and push it around for a few minutes. I am only 5' 6" and I find that often an umbrella stroller is a bit short for me. I have to bend and I think pushing it around for a day could result in a backache. I would also look for one that has a storage basket or bag. If you are planning to hit tourist areas you will need a place to put a couple of diapers, wipes, purchases, and maybe your purse.
