Hey Ladies... I am an ultra planner and I want to start buying stuff for the Fall for my son now because if I can pick it up slower it is way easier on our wallet in the end... This is my first child so I really have no idea what stuff he will need in the fall/winter months.. I know I am probably over thinking it but like I said I am an ultra planner lol So my son is gonna be a year Sept. 29th what must haves did you feel really helped you out the first winter when your child was mobile lol Also how many pairs of pants, shirts, shoes etc do u think I should buy for him... Thank u so much

What can I do next?

Is he in daycare or at home?

At that age, my son lived in elastic waiste sweat pants and long-sleeved t-shirts. Every time JC Penney had a sale... we were there!

Snow suit, boots, hat with covered ears, multiple sets of mittens, socks, socks with the rubber on the bottom for inside, hoodies (2 at least), and jeans.

Just think, warm & layered!

At that age I loved onsies. That way the tummy and back were always covered. Also great for layering.

Regarding how many, it really depends on your lifestyle.

Snow suit and boots. I am fortunate because I go to this one mother's groups resale 2X a year and one is coming up. I'll pick up the winter gear and normally some Christmas attire for the kids for pictures. I save a lot. Try Goodwill or a kid's resale in your area for those few extras you need an want.

Target has the best shoes that stay on the feet. They have a suede bottom and leather top. I can't remember what they are called but they are a soft shoe they can crawl or walk in.

stretchy knit pants.

Well, you can't buy too much because he's growing. I would get a couple pairs of jeans, long sleeve shirts (thin and thicker), socks, under t's, some good snow boots, little brown boots, a few sweat suits (for comfy), a light jacket/ heavy jacket, gloves, and a hat. Does he go to day care or stay at home with you? Good luck.....
