Ugh Is This Too Cheesy?????

Okay so my mother is soooo hard to shop for and I was coming up with nothing for Mother's Day. So I started brainstorming and came up with something but I want opinions on if it's too cheesy. This woman has everything and wants nothing, mind you.....she lives in the hill country of Texas and is into her flowers and stuff.
Here's what I got her:
A pretty teal flower pot
3 packages of flower seeds
A bird feeder
A book about Gradma
Some intensive hand cream
A card from me and a card from my son
My plan is to buy 3 different colors of paint pens, trace our hands (mine, son, and hubby) each in a different color and write "Happy Mother's Day 2012" around the top rim and "Grown with Love" on the pot between our hand tracings.

Is that dumb?

What can I do next?

No, it's not cheesy or dumb at all. I would love something like that! How about if you put it all in a pretty basket she can later use to collect flowers in? You could even wrap the whole thing in that clear cellophane paper and put a pretty bow on top.

If you have to mail it, put it in a big box with lots of them darn packing peanuts to protect it. It makes for a lot of fun when she opens it! LOL

It's sweet. Make sure to spray the pot with a waterproof sealant when you are done or it will peel. I did these for my son's preschool teachers last year.

Aawww! I love it! My mom took my girls and bought flower pots for me for mothers day. (She knew their daddy wouldn't do anything). Wish she had more time over the weekend to do something that cute!

Not dumb in the least. Very loving and caring... you are buying her things that are interesting to *her* and acknowledging her contribution to your family's happiness. Pretty sweet!

And as a gardener myself, I know the hand cream would be appreciated!
