My friends had Christmas last weekend and they left for Thailand today for Christmas vacation.
Anyone celebrating Christmas early because they have multiple events to attend? We're having our big bash tomorrow at my inlaws which means zero time for downtime until Dec. 26. Sunday my out-of-town friends swoop in for a few hours, Monday another party at night and Tuesday Christmas dinner.
It just feels weird to gather tomorrow. Anyone else doing something early and feel this way?

Our extended family events are next weekend, but on Christmas Eve, and Day, it will be just me, the hubby and kids, relaxed and in our PJ's all day, which is EXACTLY HOW WE LIKE IT :-)
We did a Christmas gathering tonight with some friends.
It's not unusual.. you have to make the season last.
It's a "season" not a DAY.
we always do christmas at my mom's the sunday before. Not having a million things to do in one day (christmas day) makes the season more enjoyable. you have more time to visit and people are not coming and going constantly so you miss them. Merry Christmas!
we begin our Family Christmas Parties on the 2nd weekend of the month. This is the ILs weekend.
The weekend before Christmas is for my extended family...paternal side. Sometimes it falls on the 3rd weekend, sometimes we're lucky like this year. :)
& then we celebrate Christmas with my Mom, Gma, & my Sister's family....on either Christmas Eve or Day. This depends on my Sister's custody schedule.
It's all good. A whole month of Christmas! (the 1st weekend is our small town's parade & our son marches in it.)
Sure, but you gotta do it right? Once it starts, you'll be fine. I get that way and then once the party starts, and the friends are there, and you're laughing and having a good time.....you won't think about the date at all. HAVE FUN!!!!
For the first time we are doing our Christmas Eve celebration with my mom on Sunday, without my sister. My husbands family lives in So CA so we don't have the pull a lot of our family does, but my sister has to accomodate her husbands family also, and it will be the first time without them :(
Times change, but we will enjoy a quiet actual Christmas Eve at home, which will be nice for us (me) since we (I) host a large Christmas Day of 25+.
