Haven't they done away with No Child Left Behind now? You might check and see if there is a different certification you need now that this one is no longer being used...
(I know - I certainly could be wrong, but it doesn't hurt to check.)
I am located in northern CA and gearing up to become a paraprofessional . I need to get the "no child left behind "certification . Those who have already passed the test please advise how to prep for the test. Any websites or books that can help ?
Thanks in advance

Back in the day when our state/district expected the parapros to take the competency test, the hardest part for my co workers was the math section (only two had to retake the test/math portion; the others passed all the sections the first time). I do believe they were given a booklet to practice. Check online...I found: practicehttp://www.ets.org/ . Maybe check with the district you want to work and see if they have information about the test as well. The only parapros that didn't need to take the test were people who already had associates and/or bachelors. Good luck.
I'm a certified teacher and I have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe it's a CA thing.
I passed the Praxis exams and then met NCLB's highly qualified status by earning my master's.
I would check with the local school district, they will have the most up to date information and can point you towards tbe proper resources.
