This Is Not My Usual Type of Question...

I'm not Muslim, but his views on Muslim Americans in this country are frightening! How anyone from America (land of the free, land of acceptance, land of immigrants) can support this pizza clown is amazing to me. Sorry, I don't mince words.

I think that the MSM needs to give him fair and equal treatment, and to stop trying to ram the idea of Rick Perry or Mitt Romney down our throats. Guess what? The MEDIA doesn't get to pick the candidate for the general election. We the VOTERS do. I have written to CNN and MSNBC to ask them to give him more coverage, as they should do their duty and inform the American public about any real contenders. A few months ago hardly anyone had ever even heard of Mr. Cain, and now he's won a major state's straw poll. I don't think he is a fluke. He has said a lot of things that I like, and so far nothing that left me shaking my head, but time and better information dissemination will tell.

Totally agree with Cheryl. I'm pulling for him. He's an actual business man who has created jobs, not just hung around. He has a good attitude and speaks like a leader - but it doesn't just take attitude and speaking skills, he has actions to back up his talk.

If he is not picked up for POTUS, I hope he is picked up for VP.

While I haven't heard his platform specifically, I do like that he is a breath of fresh air. He does have a proven track record in business, has some military background (even if he didn't serve directly from what I understand) and is seemingly no nonsense. I like that he doesn't change his speaking style (ie using slang) when he is around different races like someone else we know and then accusing those who quote him they way he spoke as racists (just saw that one this a.m.). I have no fear of jumping party lines, I just want someone real who isn't all "politiciany" (yes, I meant to write it that way!) and who can get the job done. Our government is the biggest group of spoiled brats and it is quite embarassing to see how these grown men and woman act toward one another!!!

I have to say, overall, I am despondent and concerned about my options no matter which way I vote. I don't vote party line for sure, but I think no one is looking at the middle ground.

Maybe I will go look him up and read his platform. I am in the mood to be pleasantly surprised!!

One scary man. The only good thing I can say is maybe it makes the rest of that pack look a tiny bit better.

I love to listen to his no nonsense...non sugar coated responses. He is great! I personally would love to see a Romney/Cain ticket. I think Cain would lessen the reservations many have about a "Mormon" President. The two would be a powerhouse for creating jobs and lifting the many restrictions businesses face in our country. I think they also have a true desire to limit our dependence on foreign sources of energy.

I think they are both strong on love of country and family. I love Cain's 9,9,9 tax policy. I love,love,love it!!! Herman Cain has proven to be a strong candidate as the odds have been against him but he uses the small amount of time at debates and on the news to speak about what is most important to the nation...he is a smart man and speaks his mind.

I think he would remove the ''RACE'' card.

I know they would NEVER give him the nomination...I think he is just a pawn....or will end up used as one.

You all know which side of the isle I sit behind.

Even if he was the one running I could not nor would not Vote for a Republican...There is not even close to enough things I agree conservatively on to make me do that...Even if his message was loud and clear and amazing...I WOULD NOT TRUST IT.

I know as soon as he would get there...He would become the ''Puppet...Just like Bush was..Dick Cheney was his master puppeteer...I can not watch that happen again.

I like him. I like what he stands for and what he wants to do. I just don't know if he'll have a chance but I am pulling for him too. He's not a full blown politician which in my book is a huge plus! We need someone different in the white house and he may just be what we need. However like I said, his chances to get there seem slim. But I will keep my fingers crossed.

I dont know much about him except his 9% plan. I think that particular plan makes a lot of sense...... and that's why our govt wont go for it.

I think his 9%/9%/9% tax rate is very unrealistic. It would tax the lower and middle classes disproportianately, and NO ONE is going to want to vote for someone who would raise taxes on the poor. Can you imagine the opposition commercials? I like that he at least has an idea, though.

I don't know enough about his social positions to comment there.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the Florida debate last week, but I have heard several interviews with him before that. I think he is an interesting candidate. What I've heard from him so far, I like! He has at least made me want to learn more about him and his policies.

I especially like that he has a strong background in business, not just politics!

It would be smart for some of the bigger named republican candidates to take notice of him. I think after winning the Straw Poll in Florida, people are taking an interest. He's a good business man, and good speaker. To me, he's a breath of fresh air from the usual suspects we got now. I can't stand all of the bickering back and forth, and it's nice to see him taking a stance. Having and discussing his plan. At least he has one!

Anyone smart enough with logic and common sense would never be a final candidate. So I can honestly say I don't even pay a ton of attention until the official candidates are revealed.
